I 3d printed a fairing to go in that gap.

I do need to make a new iteration of it to extend further to the left and right of the light brackets though. I dont have full coverage the way it is now.

happy to provide you with the file if you have a way to print it. Mine is a naturenest tent, but it looks like the hinges are the same/similar. Can’t be sure though

Anyone with a Trailrax rack experience whistling with their tent?

Just got my Topoak Stellar on today and immediately was met with high pitched whistling even as slow as 25 mph.

I've always run my rack fairing as low as I can but figured I needed to go high to eliminate the wind tunnel effect.

The first thing I tried of course was that but it wasn't enough. Then I moved the tent up and closer to the fairing and then added a trim seal I had lying around to almost fully eliminate it.

Finally the real test was just taping the gap shut to confirm if I fix the gap I fix the whistle.

So going to order some rubber trim seal thats thicker/has a bulb on it to seal as good as the tape did.

But what other things have people encountered and resolved it with? I can't be the only one.
I just lived with the whistle. I have the wind deflector with the cutout for a light bar with no light bar as I prefer that look. I’ve since bought an off-road trailer and moved my RTT to the trailer so no more whistle. Just run my ROAM boxes up there now. The fix is to close the gap with either foam or tape. That worked for me but I didn’t like the look and removed it

Damn I def like that idea. If my metal cutting option doesn't work I might try this.

I don't have a printer but have many friends who do.

Yeah I can't just live with it ha. This is still essentially my daily and not dealing with that noise when I know I can abate it. Good to know the foam worked for you, I have a piece thats on its way that I will try after I mess with tent positioning a bit more.
