I'm not interested in anybody's loyalty. I just want to buy a vehicle and leave. It shouldn't be an 'experience' at all...I don't go to Safeway and wonder what kind of 'experience' I'm going to have.
We definitely shop differently, I am generally a loyal shopping customer. I don't repeat shop anyplace that doesn't treat me as though they don't value me as a customer. Good service is good "experience" .

Even Amazon, Walmart, Publix (Safeway equivalent) and Dollar General have always been a good "experience" for me. The local Ford dealer will be a pass next time. :)

I think I might send in an offer of 55 and see what happens.
You know what? I might too. They aren’t making V6 2-doors anymore, and it has great potential.

Nope. I have an independent mechanic for the important stuff.

There are 3 active recall on the Bronco. I'm not bothering with any of them.
And if any of those are determined to be the cause of an accident, your insurance has grounds to deny your claim.

But hey, you do you.

Mine goes back to the dealer for anything while it's under warranty, which currently everything is. Once warranty runs out (provided I don't get the Ford ESP on them all), I'll start doing work myself again...but until then, if they're going to fix what's broken at no or little cost to me, it's going back to them.

But then I have a good working relationship with my dealership, and am on a first-name basis with most people there. Also helps that my wife has been (or will be) most of their kids' english teacher.

Having seen this Bronco in person, it actually looks pretty sharp.

I fail to see how a rearview camera, lcd screen or shocks that are sitting in a box are going to cause an accident.

But hey, keep coming up with alarmist situations to make yourself feel superior.

The last time I had a vehicle at the dealership the screw up the repair so badly the truck caught fire.

So yeah, no more dealerships working on my vehicles. I'm going to 'do me' and keep that stupid ass prhrase alive.

I do like that color though, and in favor of flat/matte. I love my eruption green in the shade when the sun isn't shining on it.

Don't think I'd be buying from that dealership either. I'd S(tay)TFO. :ROFLMAO:

85k for that thing is nuclear level buffoonery
They are going for $65k these days. I think about every dealer I have seen within 200 mile of me (who has one) has dropped to around $65k. One dealer sold for $63k. Sticker was $78k, not $85k.

This isn't meet being alarmist, this is federal rules. rearview cameras are considered safety. LCD screens that the camera view comes up on are considered safety. Shocks are absolutely safety.

If you back into someone because your backup camera was non-functional, and it is determined to be your fault because you didn't get the recall done (or cleared from the vehicle's history by doing it yourself), your insurance has grounds to deny your claim, or at least declare you at-fault and thus let you shoulder most of the cost.

As for your shocks, kudos for the upgrade, but BECAUSE you swapped the shocks out, you can go to Ford and submit the claim that you completed a recall on your own dime. They should reimburse you for at least part of the cost - so you're giving free money to Ford by not doing so.

I'm not saying any of this to feel superior, you do you. I am saying it because to NOT have things repaired under warranty or recall, at no cost to you, is at best foolish. No, dealer techs aren't all the same, yes many dealers have terrible service departments, but when it's something straightforward like that and doesn't cost you money, why spend money for a repair you could have done at little to no cost to you?
