Body on frame. V8. Appears to have good ground clearance, at least on par with a full size truck. If it can tow a decent amount vs the Bronco’s measly 3500 pounds, I’d be interested. I also like the slanted windshield. We’ll see.

My mom had one of the little ones from 1984. It had the wimpy 2.8l V6 and a 5 speed manual transmission. It only lasted a few years when she traded it in for a GMC Sierra 1500 regular cab short bed 4x4 pickup.

The second generation of the little S-10 Blazer had a fuel-injected 4.3 L engine that was pretty good for that era.

Perhaps to the untrained eye...but that's a solid rear axle and a frame under it, not just another unibody crossover.

I still think they'll botch the launch and end up making it terrible, but if they stuck with these renderings and actually kept it body-on-frame...well I still wouldn't buy one because I am DONE with GM, but it would still be a sharp vehicle.

GM and I parted company forever in 1991 after my 1990 Chev Lumina APV turned into an absolute nightmare of a vehicle so bad that the last thing I said to GM Customer Support was "I don't care if you gave me a solid gold Corvette dipped in chocolate sauce, I would still tell you to shove it up your ass!!!"

OMG!!!!! You have no idea my simmering hatred of the Bowtie. And it’s too bad really because up to that point I never really had a preference and owned two brand new Chevys before the infernal Lumina APV.
