@irishmurph01 - I cant imagine you will need anything more than the 1 sub . I will be interested to hear your opinion of the new 10 inch box. Alawys loved the JL's back in the younger years. I went with the Square 8 Kicker L7T. I was skeptical going into this journey. Even though it’s an 8‑inch, the L7T hits harder than most round 10s because of its square cone and high excursion. In a Bronco 2‑door cabin like mine, its plenty. Please let us all know your results ! (y)(y)
Will do! Not sure when I’ll get it all installed. I’m going to sound deaden the hell out of it too. But I’ll post a video. My BL is already loud with the muffler delete, tune, and BOV….. just another thing to annoy the neighbors with lol

Is there a reason you wouldn’t want to go with the gear shade option ? He makes his boxes with the option for those with the Lux package to maintain a place to mount the B&O amp. You won’t lose any cargo space and the bass is phenomenal difference over the factory sub. I have the square setup Kicker L7T (his first design) with the Kicker Key 500 amp and the bass knob mounted underneath my steering wheel on the trim. Dialing in perfect bass is so easy with the bass knob and you can add or remove bass depending on what you’re listening to. He has since engineered a new 10 inch round option also for the B&O system. I went gearshade option so i didn’t lose any space and also pulled out the factory sub as its complete garbage. Something to consider. Assuming no matter what option you’re considering, you’d be removing your factory sub ?

Any pics of your amp install?

The foam shit? Anything specific?
Resonix Black: https://resonixsoundsolutions.com/p...-adhering-automotive-sound-absorber-decoupler

I got lucky on diymobileaudio with local seller who had 2 boxes half price so bought just because was cheap and Bronco is loud. Used KILMAT and Amazon basics deadener on a lot of metal surfaces and Resonix on the interfacing plastic panels (this one is not to be applied to metal exterior panels).

I would pay full price now and be the first thing I do.

Any pics of your amp
This is a picture of my amp settings using the Gearshade square L7T-8 subwoofer. I do have the bass knob which is key to this setup. It’s unplugged in this picture so you can see the gain setting. I mounted the bass knob under the steering column. There is a square cutout under the column which was perfect to run the wire and if I ever remove it, the 2 small screw holes will never be visible. The kicker key amp mounts directly on top of the Gearshade box. Pretty impressive sound I’ll admit. Takes a good 2 weeks to break in the subwoofer. Hope this helps

Super clean look! So i went with an 8 ch. musway amp that will mount near the tailgate on the drivers side. I need to keep the B&O amp to run the center channel and because it’s needed for integration reasons. So I’m be putting the B&O where youre amp is now. The muse way comes with a knob. I’m hoping to get the speakers soon and I’ll run those off factory power till my box is done. Then the fun will really start!

@irishmurph01 - I believe that Gearshade still has a place that mounts the B&O amp in a dedicated location on the subwoofer box that is separate from where I have the Key 500 mounted. On the box he sold me, the B&O amp mounts on the side in front of the sub in a dedicated indentation. The Key 500 mounts on the top of the box also in a dedicated location. Hoepfull that is the way his newer 10 inch sub box is designed. Sent a pic of mine where you can see the 2 amp mounting locations.

I have a Musway M6 Pro DSP mounted on a 10” gearshade box where you have the stock amplifier mounted. Also a kicker amp on top of the box. I like the way you added the foam around the L7

Nice ! Good to know there is space to change over to other amps at some point (should I decide to dump more money into this thing) :D

Rattles will also depend on the frequency range and level the sub(s) are playing and the volume level. I can cause lots of rattles playing with DSP boosting upper bass frequencies or crossover point. Install it and go from there.

So consider me a clueless audiophile when answering this question. I want to upgrade the bass in my 25’ lux badlands and I don’t want to get rid of the tailgate table I have installed. I know they have the stealth box and gearshade enclosures for the factory look, but if I wanted a dual 10” down firing box installed, without sacrificing my cargo area (I’m having a packhorse tray built), would there be insane rattle if mounted to a cargo tray above the cargo area? Could i line it with Kill Mat? I love bass, but haven’t a clue when it comes to how I get it 😂. I’m also open to 2 individual enclosures under the front seats. I’ve heard seat jackers can make this work. Any input appreciated. Feel free to bust my balls as well 🙄🤪
I'm using a Bass Bunker, and despite it taking up like a quarter of the cargo area, it's great because it can move around wherever I want (even onto the back seat). 10" Kicker Comp R here driven by 500 watt Rockford Fosgate amp. You can read more deets about my setup in the link in my signature about my sound system overhaul if you're curious.
