Hey guys,

I am going to swap out the 7 speaker dummy sub and amp this weekend and had a few questions for those of you that already did this or who have torn apart the back of your Bronco...

1. Is there any pre installed sound deadening around the sub (I have a Badlands high package)? I just watched a video of someone tearing out there enclosure and it looks like Ford actually included sound deadning (looks like it was right under the sub, kind of on top of the wheel, picture below) - I was curious if this is included with the sub delete/high package.

2. Should I put dynamat behind the sub before installing? Is this in any way beneficial?

Let me know your thoughts - I will try to document this as well as I can and report back.

There is some type of material that provides some sound deadening, but is not enough to make a difference in that location. I strongly recommend adding sound deadening material to any panel that you see. Vibrations will be reduced a lot, specially in very thin panels. The denser the panel, the less vibration and sound deadening it will provide.
