New Bronco Owners in Texas

The better half and I have been looking at Bronco’s since summer last year and at the time decided on a 2025 MY for the rear AC and painted tops. We were undecided on exactly which trim to go after, but knew we needed 4 doors for our 2 large dogs and kids. After initial negotiations country wide that year, nothing purchased and decided to go into the new year to wait for the price that worked for me (If it was up to her, she’d buy at MSRP and everything they recommended haha).

2026 comes around and she’s now telling me the 60th Anniversary in Wimbledon White has caught her eye along with the 2025 Raptor in Desert Sand. Last week we decided to hit some local dealerships and check them out now that the 60th has hit the lots. She fell in love with the exterior color and white interior accents of the 60th, but felt excitement behind the wheel of the Raptor. I said to her to let me get the best price on both and we can make a final decision.

2026 60th Anniversary ($67,860 MSRP) came to $62,500 + TT&L with $500 in dealer fees at one dealership.

2025 Raptor ($89,950 MSRP) came to $80,850 + TT&L with $600 in dealer fees at another dealership.

Congrats and cute dogs! You made the right choice with the Braptor. IMO it's next level in the driving experience department.

Get seat back protectors too...I usually put the rear seats flat, add a dog bed and harness the dogs in that way either with the hooks on the back of the seats or from above via hand rails I had installed.

Congratulations Braptors are amazing vehicles, you will love it and you got the right color. I have lived with the desert sand for 3.5 years and still love it.

@Ape Factory I was leaning towards the Raptor because just look at it . First thing we did was order cargo area covers and found Canvasbacks. We’ll have the entire cargo area covered including the back side of the seats, and we’ll tether the dogs to the car seat connections.

What system or harness do you have to connect to the hand rails? Looking for other options in case tethering to the back seats doesn’t work well.

@Valhalla already planning a road trip to Yellowstone!

@Jakob1972 we’ve been eyeing desert sand since last year, I rarely see it on the roads. I absolutely love this color.

Too bad that the dealer that you bought your Bronco from installed the front plate bracket. I ordered and bought my Badlands from a dealer in Houston and they do not install that before delivery, I went with a DV8 front license plate relocation bracket, but really doesn't matter much as I have a winch and winch mount that would have covered it up, but at least I don't have those two holes

@glashaus Yeah, I noticed it was drilled a couple months ago when we saw the Autotrader photos. I doubt she even noticed how the bracket was attached; it was only an issue for me haha. She was curious what I was doing this morning messing with bumper, but was extremely happy with the bracket off and the holes covered

yep, the front plate looks so much better relocated.

I am glad that I went through the order process last year and got exactly what I wanted. I knew what I wanted would be tough to find on a dealers lot, it was a fun process, and I am having a good time making it mine.

Did you buy your Raptor new or used? Bronco Off Rodeo up in Horse Shoe Bay was a lot of fun!

@glashaus the Raptor is new, 25 miles on the ticker, built Nov 2025. It’s the exact spec we wanted and we happened to strike a deal in our backyard. We requested quotes through Granger Ford last year for a couple of builds, and prices were very competitive. May need to experience a custom build one of these years.

Mine didn't either. My wife and I both bought broncos and did the off roadeo and loved it. Pick a day with good weather and have fun. I was able to drive the entire time with the top off and loved every minute.

Not so great weather is not bad either. I will agree, Bronco Off Rodeo at Horse Shoe Bay is a very high class, well run experience that should be taken advantage of, included in all new Broncos.
