Mine had a bad rattle even before I modified it. Maybe I just got something out of spec. Glad yours worked well, that’s a great looking Bronco, who makes your rear bumper?
also an RTR bumper (and tire carrier, and hi lift jack mount)

mine is with a 37” tire, but I’m on the RTR tire carrier which lets me slightly adjust the left to right. Very important to limit tailgate motion unless you like smashing that taillight.

also I used to really hate rotopax for how badly they perform when trying to fuel up, hence I went this way, but since I’ve switched to the ai.13 nozzles and soon their vents, I’ll be able to use them without using every four letter word I know

Has anyone mounted to a Raptor? Will it fit with 37's?
… I am going to use the raptor hinges and make a different support than the thin raptor one. Don’t see an issue. But 37” I don’t know

Gluestick very nice rig setup…

I wanted to wait before changing thread. Interested in your AAL tire shelf and lighting . Remember which one you bought? Feedback? Build thread?

I have their 2dr internal shelf and really like their quality

It’s the full size tire carrier; my powdercoat flakes off is my ONLY beef. The powdercoat of the upper shelf is much more robust. Maybe i picked the wrong one for the harder use. Would buy again.

I don’t love the weight of the roam 95l case and the rugged mounts - awesome for taking case on/off but they are heavy. And it’s high up that you can’t see inside: Would consider doing this different with the side access version from Leitner Designs.

I wish the mounts themselves had quick disconnects. I open my swing gate well past 90 degrees very frequently.

If you’re looking for a limiter so you don’t open the tailgate too far, I’ve been really happy with the mountains 2 metal tailgate limiter

Thanks helpfull
AAL has brought the power coatings in house. My internal shelf was coated but outside I’ll use SEM trim paint. Easy to touch up.

Yeah lots of solutions to limit out there. I don't want to limit at all. I want to get to camp, detach the can AND the carrier, so that I can open my swing gate fully. My fridge is on the left and drawers are on the right. When the swing gate is at 90 degrees and the tailgate table is down I can't open my drawers.

That’s the one with an adjustable end link ?

I am thinking of just ordering a new gas shock a couple inches shorter… Haven’t found any info on how much pressure/ power the OEM ford is…

Yeah it’s the adjustable one. I originally tried a different gas shock to save some money but it still swung it out juuuust a little too far.

I had a shorter stroke one and the rod end broke as the tailgate swung open once, making for a bad result.

do you have any issues with the ai.13 gaskets? I swear I get like 1-2 times screwing the top on and off before those things tear. I asked them about it and then suggested sanding down the open end of the rotopax, which I did, but they’re still ripping. I was thinking of trying to 3d print my own out of TPU

I'm on my third OEM one so I dunno that it's any worse.

… yes ford and others use plastic ends. I’ve had a fiberglass bed cover on my pickup and never had issues with end caps on the gas shock's.

You cannot change the plastic ones because the shafts have plastic threads cut on them.

Mc Masters Carr have the good ends, the wire retainers stay in place and are very easy to remove by hand.
