The lead time for these choices is years. I hope we see the v6 and v8 options for 2027. Jeep wrangler now has 3 trims with the v8. 392 Rubicon, 392 Moab, and 392 Willys. More v8's will be coming from jeep. Ford at some point should respond.

I’m not sure what the reason for no V6 in a two door is. They are still making both the 2dr & the V6. I would think it would be no problem to still offer both. I originally wanted a 2dr V6 Heritage. It wasn’t available for ordering at the time I needed a new vehicle so I settled for a BD V6. Was planning on keeping it a few years and the trading it for what I actually wanted. Ford took a dump on that plan so looks like I’ll be keeping the BD instead for ever. I tend to keep most of my vehicles for 10 plus years or more. Still driving a 2012 Ridgeline and have less than 80,000 on it. The last Ridgeline before the 2012 made it to 300,000 before being hit and totaled . Financially I could have bought any car I wanted but just had to buy the 2 door Bronco, it was love at first sight. Great fun to drive and just like my wife I still enjoy looking at her everyday.

The V6 2 door embarrassed the Big Dog (raptor) mordoor. So it had to be axed. I'm not anti raptor either. My daily is a Gen 1 SVT raptor, and I love driving it to this day. If you want a flex with a bronco emblem on it, good for you.

lol sales has absolutely nothing to do with your perceived view of how the 2 doors look.
Nobody expected big 2 door sales. It's no different then the wrangler.
You assuming the looks of a 2 door has something to with sales is just ignorance.

There are PLENTY of comments throughout this forum showing that a lot of 4 door owners agree the 2 door looks far better, but some people simply needed more room.

Far more people are buying the 2 door for looks, as opposed to the 4 door for looks.
Put simply- if there was no 2dr Bronco with a manual, I would not have bought a Bronco.

I was offered a moar-door manual Rubicon for A LOT off sticker. Still opted for the 2dr Bronco to be built.

This is HILARIOUS! I love it. I think the Braptor looks like a Japanese drift vehicle. Fugly!

The discussion since the beginning of time. I hope my perspective can provide some insight.
I believe both ā€œfilling a needā€ and ā€œlookā€ are factors when choosing a car. The important distinction is at what situation you are in.

For someone in the same boat as me who can only have 1 car, my priority is something that can fill my needs (travel with family/friends and enough cargo space to move things, aka utility and practicality) so hence me getting a 4 door. Next, both the look and fun-having is also an important but simply second on the list, hence a 4Dr bronco instead of an expedition or other 4Dr SUV.

Do I think 2dr looks better? Yes I do, a 2Dr raptor with a coyote in it is the dream like many people. But does a 4Dr fills my need better at this moment in life? Also yes

If years down the line and I have the chance to have multiple vehicle or in a family with multiple vehicles, where my needs (cargo hauling, family enjoyment, ppl hauling etc) are fulfilled, and im in the market for a second car for pure enjoyment and practicality is no longer a priority for me, then yes, the look and driving enjoyment now takes priority. This is when I would be getting a 2dr sports car or a 2dr bronco or etc etc.

I think it’s rarely black and white of 4Dr better vs 2dr better, more situational dependent on the buyer and the purpose of the vehicle.

But I do think the notion of ā€œgetting a 4Dr is a disgrace to the heritage of the Bronco and everyone who gets a 4Dr should burn their car and ford should only make 2dr stick 2.7 with no electronic because it’s the true Bronco, and it doesn’t matter if this lasts 2 months before ford loses a billion dollarsā€ is kind of… elitist and gatekeeping and also… short sighted? Shouldn’t the ā€œpuristā€ want the brand to make money so they can keep making the thing you like? If being pure is so important then just dump a quarter million into a resto mod Gen1.

anyway just my 3Ā¢ (yea no longer 2 cuz inflation), I’m sure many feels the same way.
And I’m happy to have a discussion with anyone (as long as discussion remains civil)

Missing the point again...those characteristics might be important to some, but tons of people buy impractical cars and then "make it work."
Let's just say you're right though...people choose cargo or seating as option 1. They're still picking the best looking vehicle in that class that they can afford.
Do you really think people intentionally buy ugly (in their opinion) vehicles on purpose?
Well, the old man bought my older sister a Plymouth Volare for her first car back in the day (then drove it for two years when she refused to even get in it). Minus the wheels (it had hub caps), it looked just like this. I mean who buys this for their daughter if it isn't cuz it was ugly??

On the 2/4 door thing: I m a old and a bit of a history buff so I will compare the 2 seat ā€˜57 thunderbird to the 4 seat ā€˜58 thunderbird…sales were low on the ’57 so ford went went with 4 seats in ’58 and sales went through the roof…today the ā€˜55-’57s are true collectors and the ā€˜58 and up are in the junk yards…I am glad ford decided to build both 4dr bronco for the masses and 2dr for the purists along side each other…I get to have a 2dr v6 bronco because of the 4drs but they do make me throw up a little in my mouth every time I see them…as an aside at least ford still makes a 2dr f150 v8 if I ever need a truck again…

Look are always the deciding factor. Not sure why this is so hard to understand. If you needed a full sized SUV for example, you'd find the one that fit the bill (withij your budget, 3rd row, V8 engine, moonroof, towing package, whatever) then you'd buy the one that looked the best (to you). Looks are ALWAYS the deciding factor.
No. Looks are NOT always the determining factor. If they were, I'd have done more than test drive the 7spd twin-turbo V8 AstonMartin.

I would have preferred a 2.7l in my Bronco, but the manual was the overriding requirement. I had no need for a moar-door vehicle as the Grand Marquis already fills that niche and has a 7-body trunk for carrying stuff.

The XK8 and Spider need to be washed.

In Houston, I still have an X-Type that I bought, not for looks, but because it had the manual transmission.

It's a good thing you aren't one of the bean counters in the design room...

There were no '58 four door thunderbirds. There was a four door for only a couple of years in the early 70s and it was the size of a Lincoln.

But...that grille and the suicide doors for the '67 generation made a sweet-looking vehicle...

Definitely made my '77 pale by comparison...
