Is rubbing, trimming needed for 38x13.5x17, -12 offset? With 1.5 lift front and back

Just got these 38 x 12.50 x R17 Nitto Ridge Grapples 0 offset.

Love em. Outside of the hypercos front and rear, no additional work needed…. full lock etc.

37s are plenty. There's nowhere a 38" tires will allow you to go that a 37" won't.

I forget looks are the primary objective tho. So 40s or nothing!

Springs will not allow fitting larger tires unless modifying the bumpstops. 38s will blow off the fenders on full compression.

Body lift is the least expensive way to fit larger tires and retain body panels.

Untrue, when you need exactly 1/2" more clearance on an equally aired up tire that has the same sidewall flex as each other. The 38 will get you there. Whoa to the person needing 3/4" more!

Please name the trail. I've never seen it. A skilled driver can always overcome .5". You're talking a tiny gain. You could add 5psi on a 37 and match clearance. Worse case pull a winch and you'd still complete the trail.

Well, there is the thing. I said when you need .5 so he has probably already overcome and extra foot but needs .5 more... But come on we will run 82 and 75 at windrock.


I typed it semi tongue in cheek, but you can always find a limit that you could push further otherwise we would all still be running 30's like back in the day.
