Sharing a few photos from last October’s Rebelle Rally. For anyone who doesn’t know, it’s an 8 day, 1,500 mile all-women off-road navigation rally where teams of two tackle everything from sand dunes and mountains to rocky terrain. Definitely not an easy challenge and honestly super inspiring to watch.

One of the coolest parts is that GPS isn’t allowed. Teams rely on paper maps, compasses, and pure navigation skills, which makes it feel like a true adventure rather than just a race.

The star of these photos is Gloria Recio from Team #173. They finished in 12th place, which is really amazing! The on-site shots are also super exciting.

What do you think is the hardest part of this Rebelle rally? Anyone here participate or follow it last year?

Great photos and that looks like an excellent event!

Any info on those new Pirellis? Are they finally making them in appropriate Bronco sizes?

What Iridium parts are on the truck? What's the big white low rectangle on the roof?

My $0.02 as a 2025 Rookie... it's hard because it's off-pavement, no GPS, paper maps and compass navigation, for 10-11 hours a day, for eight days. Camping in a wide range of weather conditions: below freezing to 90+ degrees, wind, and this year, rain. It is very challenging, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and I had the most amazing time. The competitors, staff, and volunteers are a community of some of the best people I have ever met. Bring on the 2026 Rebelle!

Several Rebelle teams run Pirelli, myself included. Pirelli as a company is a strong supporter of the Rebelle, of "privateer" teams (those without corporate sponsorship), and of advancing women in motorsport. Scorpion AT+ was the Bronco size option available in 2025. The latest generation of Scorpion (XTM) should be available in Bronco size this year (if not already).

The competitors do not use electronic GPS to navigate - it's paper maps and compass. We search for checkpoints based on latitude/longitude, or heading and distance from a known point. We have two YB Tracking devices, which run on the Iridium network, on our vehicles. The first is to enable the Rally to locate us (even when we don't know where we are). The second we use to signal when we believe we have found a checkpoint.

That is excellent news all the way around. After I posted, I realized those were the older tires in the pictures but I was inquiring about the new XTM - good to hear they might be available in the correct sizes soon.

I`ll suggest it is part of the a/m roof they are running. Definitely not rally related.
