Odd question: would the 2-door version fit and velcro on and MIC hardtop, with OEM sound deadening, to cover the front two panels? Looking for something to cover the 2 panel sections (seams) to quiet the air noise on the highway during winter. Thanks.

Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, the headliner for the Sunrider will not work in this use case.

Does this also work as a wind blocker? Fits OE soft top w top down?

If you’re referring to the factory (OEM) soft top, then it does not. This is designed specifically for the Bestop Sunrider. When installed with the Sunrider, it does help reduce wind noise, but it mounts directly to the Sunrider and flips back with it when opened. I hope that helps!

That’s a solid idea, and I get what you’re going for there. We don’t have anything like that planned at the moment, but it’s definitely useful feedback to hear, especially from soft top owners running a bimini.

If you ever plan on producing something like this let me know. I have 30 plus years in the parts and service (automotive manufacturing) industry and can help with design and product field product reporting. I worked with a lot of product vendors when I was with KIA accessories development.

Just installed mine. Installation was pretty easy, followed the instructional video, and the process only took about 30 minutes. I used some adhesion promoter after cleaning the areas where the velcro goes, just as insurance. The only trick is making sure the whole thing is centered up.
1. Looks. I left the marine fabric side down, as I open this a lot in the spring/summer and flipping the headliner over a few times a year is just not something that is going to happen. Not as nice as the fabric side, but better than the underside of the sunrider, so that's a compromise. Pictures below.
2. Noise, I think it is going to be much quieter. I will probably update with measured noise levels later, but the wind is pretty high today, so I don't want to give a false impression of how well it works. I can tell already that it is cutting the noise level, it muffles some wind noise from the windshield header, but the wind was adding a lot to what I measured the other day with just the Sunrider.

I have the HotHeads Headliners in my hardtop already, and the fabric matches well (as expected). I think the marine fabric shows the contour more than the headliner would--shiny vs. matte, but the dip is not a sag, it is going over the crossbar, but is pressed against the twill on the front and back edges.

I am impressed, I like the product, and I think it is going to be great, letting me keep my Sunrider on year-round, rather than taking it off in October, and back on in March.

Had a calmer day during my morning commute, so I can say that I measured the same noise level with the Sunrider/HotHeads Liner that I did with my hard top panels in place, with the HotHeads liners in those (80dB on my Android sound level app--YMMV), the Sunrider on its own was 83 dB, so twice as loud (log scale, +3dB is 2x power in sound) The difference is noticeable. Two thumbs up, would recommend.

Just got back from the SuperCel in TN, the first long trip with the Hothead liner installed on the Sunrider. The verdict, couldn't be a happier. A marked improvement in noise levels on the highway at 70 MPH. Less wind noise and flapping and better at regulating the interior temp. Anyone who has a Sunrider this a must have.
Wish they made one for the MOD top, I put one on the rear.
