That's a nice aftermarket piece but ford already offers a bigger OEM fuse. The 3.0 parts. Which are thirty percent stronger than the original 2.0. Which has been my point all along. All well stated.
I think I'm just able to equally see/consider both the perspective of the 1%-er enthusiast off-roader as well as that of the OEM. The latter being, 1. We WILL have a "fuse" type design and 2. We will design for the 99th percentile (or whatever number).
It's a non trivial engineering challenge for an aftermarket design to increase the 99% number while also maintaining a "fuse" in the design. It's very clear that many/most aftermarket tie rods clearly go well beyond 99% but also completely fail on maintaining the "fuse".
So, for example, is this even remotely a fuse even for a 74Weld billet rack?

I'd ABSOLUTELY want a fuse for that rack.
The 74w rack wont break with those aftermarket tie rods, however the steering knuckle attachment point is OBVIOUSLY the next fail point..as weve seen... but then you can upgrade to the double sheer outer joints support bracket (like APG and Carli)...
My position is still the same, Ford should have used 3.0 parts from the beginning, and should use them going forward on ALL Broncos and Rangers (and f150s with the tiny twigs too)
Once someone proves an accident was caused by these undersized parts, then it's case closed... The liability alone, is good reason to do this upgrade across all trims, not to mention Fords reputation is on the line.
Again, your trim already came with the 3.0 upgrades. No need for you to whine about why they don't need to be on the rest of the ford offroad vehicle's...
