I'd like to install the EcoFlow Smart Alternator into the cargo area, this will involve running a super thick cable all the way up to the battery. I'd prefer to run this cable under the vehicle if I can, and I've looked thru the owners manual and the only plug I'm aware of is in the cargo area under the muffler shield. Are there any other places under the rear seats or otherwise for passing a cable thru?

I'm well aware you can pull all the trim up along the drivers side and pass through the firewall under the steering wheel, looking to avoid that unless its the only option.

There are two cable trays along the left and right side of the vehicle. Those require pulling up all of the trim pieces though, so guessing that’s what you were trying to avoid.

The only other hole is the little storage cubby under the load floor. There is a drain hole in the bottom of that that leads to the outside, but yeah… it’s close-ish to the exhaust and not a clear shot for a thicker gauge cable.

Option C is to drill a hole.

The door sills have a cable run under them - both driver and passenger side. The driver side has the firewall grommet.

So most power lines run right down the drivers side door sill, and that comes up right in the rear cargo area - not too hard to get at. You can cross over the dash and come up the passenger side, or cross at the spring-loaded piece behind the rear seats if you need to get to the passenger side.

The sills come up up very easy. You will need to pull the front kick panel (same as installing a kick panel speaker) and the rear cargo panel (same as installing the subwoofer or trailer tow package)

Getting a wire through the firewall is the hardest part of all of that.

Another option is under the carpet, but you are pulling seats to do that and it’s much more involved than doing the wire channels under the sills, and can impact your drain lines if you have the spray down flooring. If it’s fat cable and won’t fit in the cable tray under the sills, this is the next best option.

All the exterior options are much more difficult to run safely - mostly because of the exhaust. It’s possible but you will have an easier time staying interior

Run your power feed along the frame. I removed the left rear interior quarter panel and drilled two holes through the body near the brake light. You will need to protect the wire from the metal, so use a strain relief connector and you will be fine. Remember to install a fuse close to your power sources.
