I just made an $1800 mistake with my springs and need to fix it.

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/dobinson-heavy-duty-springs-dont-do-it.86856/

Do you happen to have the compression ratings (lbs/inch) for the springs and coilovers?

Hey all!

Finally got around to installing the eibach springs and 37x12.5x17 bfg ko2's. Haven't had alot of seat time yet so will save my review for now. Also will test to see of i rub off road and report back. No rub of any kind so far. I would definitely recommend a adjustable trac bar. I went with the rough country in case I ever decide to lift it further one day.

To confirm.
You installed just springs?
What was your lift amount on the new springs?
37s are a great look on the 4dr. So meaty.

Yes eibach springs on a factory bilsteins, sasquatch black diamond. Also has bora 1/2 wheel spacers. Not sure on the exact amount of lift. With the tires I would say 3" in the front and 2" in the rear.

Perfect amount of lift I think. Can still fit on the upper deck of the local ferries. Don't have to deal with being over height.

Did Eibach ever release a different set of springs for 4dr vehicles with more/heavier gear ("overlanding springs")?

Unfortunately, they are working on them for their Coil-overs, but the are not ready yet. They have heavier duty Front springs in production run so probably a month or less til they are out. Rear springs are another story. They are still in prototype stage with the rears. I have been calling them monthly for almost a year waiting for them to finish them.

The part number for the front springs for their coil-overs will be 1600.3035.0500S and 1600.3035.0550S for 500lb and 550 lb rates. So when those hit their website, they are ready to ship. The are going to be different than their standard generic 16in springs (1600.300.0500S and 1600.300.0550S) that they currently sell, although I know several people that have used these for the front with after market bumper/winch extra weight up front (Panda sells them this way as an option for the fronts).

I need both front and rear heavy duty springs as I have the Rockhard 4x4 swing gate bumper/tire carrier with gas cans and a BAMF front bumper with winch, and Rockslide engineering steps, so my wife's Badlands SAS is a heavy girl. So I have to impatiently wait for the heavy spring. I went with Eibach's coilovers to basically get me back to stock height with all the weight (about 3/4 above stock from their 2.0 to 2.5 inch coil-overs), but I would love to get the heavy springs to be able to move to 37s.

Does anyone have that graphic that shows the max adjustment height for the front coilovers for the 550lb springs?

I thought saw it earlier today when I didn't need it. Now I've been searching for 2 hours trying to find it and no luck of course.

UPDATE: According to another poster, the 550lb springs lose 19mm of adjustment, but where is this information if its true? It isnt mentioned in the installation instructions, nor on eibach's site, nor was it included with the 550lb springs... https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...its-and-my-recommendations.70054/post-2139314

Can anyone else verify this?

Thanks for sharing that. The wording is still open to interpretation. The instructions already say not to use the top area of the threads, so it seems weird that he would reference 19mm from the top of the threads and not from where the instructions say. Maybe he implied from the max of where the instructions say, but I think it warrants a follow up email just to be certain.

I'm just a bit annoyed that we buy these stiffer springs to reduce the the 1" droop from bumper/winch/skids, but then they tell you to drop the suspension almost an inch back down, defeating the main purpose of buying these springs.

Its also interesting they are concerned about spring bind on compression, because I initially thought the reason would be due to hitting the internal bump stop at max droop too hard. Lowering the preload down 19mm will prevent spring bind by having it hit the bump stop sooner (before the spring is fully compressed). I think this also means that the shock has 19mm of less travel from max compression to max extension with the stiffer spring.

I did email them to clarify and here was our convo:

me: So measuring from the bottom, that means the max collar height is 65 mm?

Eibach: That is correct...65mm will now be your max preload measurement.

Thanks for verifying that! I'm adding a diff drop soon so I may look into adding a spacer to get just a little be more lift back out of them after that depending on CV angles.
