Noticed you a Jeep owner like myself. Over the years I have liked the searching for the right additions to my Jeep (even if my wallet or wife didn't like) and enjoyed the mechanics of adding them myself (especially now during Covid). It seems it never stops and I look for stuff to do sometimes reversing the additions the Jeep didn't need Lol. I have never posted anything to youtube re: my improvements, but it has been a great teaching resouce and I am hopeful that Bronco owners will do the same as the new factory orders are not going to satisfy all needs and wants. So perhaps during the wait getting the tool box completed will keep us busy.

I've got the same dilemma as most re: picking a trim. I think if I could build my own bronco from scratch I'd have vinyl seats, large screen, metal bumper, hard top, V6. So a black diamond with high package, V6, and hard top... Which clearly isn't available. So I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to load up an outer banks and skip vinyl, or load up a badlands, or get a wild track.

From a gas mileage/noise standpoint I really don't want sasquatch (though it looks awesome), but I also can't see spending more on a decked out OBX than a wildtrack...That seems silly.

Your dilemma about which trim is why FCA loves Jeep owners and why FoMoCo will love Bronco owners and why HD loves Harley owners. After-market parts! I have spent thousands with a capital $ on P&A over the years on trying to make the product exactly as I'd like. Then tastes and needs change.

FoMoCo is already planning on all the customer changes and the dealerships and after-market are gearing up so hold onto your wallet!

Biggest decision is 4 door vs 2 door and engine size. Everything else will be available after-market incl. sway bar disconnect if you need it. Not every Jeep sold was a Rubicon, yet many have been improved tooverRubicon specs.

I'd have to imagine they'll probably offer the rock rails as a standalone option. But we won't know until the order guide/configurator arrives.
Or mine will be for sale when I add sliders (hopefully N-Fab or Warrior with detachable steps).

What I mean is: Do not buy rock rails at the dealer. There will be plenty on Craigslist, etc.

This! As well as take-off stock bumpers and wheels and tires. They’ll be all over the resale sites.

I think that's good advice. Get your "bones" right and everything else can be worked out in aftermarket for a price.

I keep going back and forth still. With the WT being only $6700 more, and getting the 2.7, Sas, auto, etc.... this builder tool is going to get taxed lol

So the wildtrack doesn’t have rock rails right? Is that Bc of the Sasquatch making it impossible? I do like the concept of the step up side bar— especially for my kids

I think that is highly unlikely. Rock rails are a must for rock rigs.

No, not standard, anyway. I'm sure they're a standalone option. Nothing to do with Sasquatch - more that it's meant for desert running so it doesn't "need" rock rails. A tube step is also optional on Wildtrak (though it's not the prettiest thing after seeing it on OB models, IMO).

You are right that take off tires, wheels and flares will be for sale everywhere post Bronco launch and delivery.

I reserved a Wildtrak and like everything but the flares and tire/wheel set up. Not saying they are bad, just not my taste at this point in life. I already own a mall crawler lol.

So I may up option an Outer Banks to be like Wildtrak, but then I have the 18" wheels and 155 tires!

So it's either Wildtrak (315) and sell OEM and purchase all new 17 wheels ? and KO2 AT tires or drive the OB with 18's until tires wear out then change to 17" wheels and KO2 or Revo III. This isn't an end of the world decision and sound petty I know.

But, it seems FoMoCo is specking the OB (wheels and tires wise) that FCA does with the Sahara trim on Wranglers which come with 18's. I changed out my OEM set up on current Jeep and it gets expensive to make these changes aftermarket. I hope FoMoCo will make more tire/wheel combos available.
