But as someone that lives in Arizona, I can assure you that it is neither the color of cactus, nor grey. I suspect that's @Rick Astley 's issue with it. He's a purist that wants his colors to be appropriately named, and they must all look good drizzled over the top of a '51 Mercury.

CG isn't that bad of a color, it should maybe just be called what it is, Bridal Mint Green

...as someone from Arizona, I'd expect you to know lots of different types of cactus? I'm from Ohio and have seen countless potted cactus that are this exact color. And I don't know shit about shit.

As a n00b, take this as a genuine question and try not to bust my balls too much...

The tow/recovery hooks on the Bronco have designated areas for the pins of the hard shackles. There's a lower portion for soft shackles.

If that dedicated area is specifically for hard shackles, why ever take them off if nothing else is meant to go there?

I would not take them off...several reasons IMO:
1) they are always with you...maybe I am the only one that is spontaneous and thinks, where does that road go and just heads off vs planned trips only.
2) At 2 lbs and storing these in the vehicle is one more "loose" item to become a missile in the event of a catastrophic accident. There are enough items you should carry that don't have a handy place to store them on the outside.
3) You always know where they are! Again, I am probably the only person on here that misplaces things! ; )

Also, you might check that lower point for soft shackle utilization...it is pretty rough and has a sharp casting mark right down the middle and sharp'ish edges...I think it will eat up your soft shackle.

I feel the same. It's like Ford Motor Co. gave me these two holes to fill on the front bumper and it's human nature to want to fill them, I guess?
