Ok so I have a question that someone here may have some insight on. Say I placed a 'retail order' direct with dealer in July. Got confirmation from Ford, etc....I fully understand that 1) there was no way I was getting a MY21 and would have to re-order with the order banks open up again in a few weeks for MY22 (and may have to do that again for MY23). Does that mean my retail order starts all over again in terms of where I may be placed? And the horror sets in that it is dependant on how quickly my sales rep calls me and types.....

Fully understand prior reservations take priority - but what about retail orders placed in 2021...how do those roll over when you update/re-order for MY22?

Maybe I just answered my own question...,

Near as I can tell, and this is not accounting for VIP orders. The things that will matter in how fast you will see a MY22 Bronco are as follows (and likely in this order):

Likely fixed in place:

1. Dealer allocation
2. Commodity Constraints
3. Dealer Priority Code

There may be some interplay between these 4:

4. Order of Previous MY21 Orders
5. Reservation Timestamp
6. Order Conversion Timestamp
7. Final Order Timestamp

For instance, I would expect that someone who had an early reservation might not automatically jump ahead of someone who converts and finalizes an order days/weeks before them.

Just my thoughts based on what I have seen to date.

You are a 2dr or MIC correct?
I am a Big Bend softie, and they still have to fill out the production mix for the remainder of MY21. They cant build all upper trims.. they have to mix in some base/BB level trim models in order to keep the production flow balanced. The higher trim models typically take longer(more complex operation to perform) for each operator to complete during the production process. All upper trims = bad mix. Throw in a few base/BB to ease the load on the operator. For example, on a High package equipped Badlands the operator my be responsible for shooting/securing 5 screws, 6 bolts, and 1 wire assembly per unit. That same operator will only have to shoot/secure 2 screws, an 2bolts on the base/BB. Since the base model operation is easier the operator completes it more quickly, allowing time to "get out of the hole" or perhaps even get ahead.

Finally saw one in west Arvada last Friday - it's a good sign for me! Didn't see a single one once we got into the mountains tho

I saw one in the wild in Ann Arbor in early September. Being so close to Detroit, I decided that one didn't count. Then Tuesday, I saw an FE in the wild here in Cary, NC. Couple that with Crossroads Apex having two demos and an ordered vehicle waiting for customer pick-up, and it seems they are starting to get out there.

I did have to drive an hour to test drive a two door at Capital Lillington, but it was worth it to see an actual two door.
