OBDII Diagnostic Port Location

Has anybody found a picture that shows the location of the OBDII port? On my wifes escape its behind a little trim panel door near the headlight switch and my current job makes a gps tracker that plugs in there and its not really possible to cleanly install it for testing purposes. Hoping its under the dash and I believe it is based on the photos I have seen as it doesn't look like there is a trim panel door in that location.

I've usually seen them hang down just below the panel in the drivers footwell, but not sure where Bronco's is.

I assume this is what I found hanging down this morning. Is it supposed to tuck up somewhere? Are they supposed to tuck into that silver bracket?
