This was in the mannequin at Sam Pack's 5star in Carrollton TX. It sounded great but blocked the rear view.
did you listen to it when driving with the top down on the highway?

Anyone considering products such as the Kicker Hideaway subs? Do we think they’ll fit under the seats, or is there another obvious location? The wife has already declared I’m not permitted to take up cargo space with a box!
I'm in the same sitch especially since I don't want anything smaller than a 10" and the cargo area sub is only for an 8". I'd rather go under one of the front seats if there's room. Going through and watching this thread in hopes that several of us go this route and can provide the good advice.

Dimensionally, the Kicker 46HS10 should fit. But need to get one in someone's hands and try it out. For now, that's on my build sheet... It measures 9.834"W x 3.324"H x 14.5"D and that's tiny for a 10.

If you look back to the recent days you can see the finished build! Thanks.
Nice work! I really like what you did with the Kicker amp under the steering column. Was it ample power to your fronts? Also, since you have your beast already do you think you can give us a few dims for under the driver and passenger seats. I'd love to fit a sub under one of them since the cargo area is already accounted for by the fam and big ass dog.

The 4032CFX is the only 4" they have as far as I know. The closest match would be the 6532EX...

However, I was just checking out the Kappa 62IX and I haven't had the pleasure of testing it... But the 2.7ohm and 95db, yes 95db efficiency is very impressive. Especially for down in the footwell where we need the highest possible output to keep up with the improved efficiency in the dash.

Not cheap, but certainly has my attention.

I actually bought the kappas for the 6.5. Have not installed yet. In the front the infinity’s sound good at low volume but distort above 18 volume. I think I am going to try to some bass blockers on both 4” speakers. 600hz and see how they sound.

I have 300hz on my build sheet... But 600 might be more appropriate. Has anyone cut out the factory cap to see what uF it is? Easy to calc what freq the factory is using.

I could probably do that as I had cut off the harness from the speaker and still have it. Will check today. Thanks

I’ve heard fantastic reviews about that.

Mine is a '12 so I have Jeep's Infinity system. It was meh until I started working on it. I came up with a crossover mod for the dash tweeters and then changed out the sound bar speakers with some Infinity's and replaced the sub, then added polyfil and some peel and stick for vibration damping... It completely transformed the system for less than $200. Probably a thousand people have done it. (I tried 4 different subs and 6 different sound bar speakers to get the right balance)

My goal is to create a proven upgrade path here with the Bronco too. It takes some research and testing to find the right components, but we'll get there.

Has anyone had success removing the driver side kick panel? It seems like it's got a real good attachment to the side of the dead pedal. Thank
