Price protection for all with orders prior to March 19th!! Really!! I ordered on April 7th and now “I” have to pay for others/your mistakes? WTF FoMoCo
Yeah Ford doesn't seem to give a hang about customers who didn't reserve prior to March 19th.

Your order is with the dealer. The vehicle order is between the dealer and Ford. If you don't understand the difference you will need to.

The dealer can technically do anything they want with the order. They can cancel it, they can change it and they can sell it to someone else. Now there are guardrails around some of those activities but there is nothing to prevent them from doing anything they want with the order.
Thats not exactly true. If you did it correctly with your dealer, you have a signed "deal sheet" from your order, showing Model, options, etc. Now if you cancel your order and they want the stock they could change it at that point, but if you don't you have them locked to that specific build and price in writing.

FORD: Many of us are very frustrated. Sounds like I as many will be pushed to MY22. Do us one thing....it should not be that difficult: Give us a Quarter in which our Bronco will be built. The brutal honest best estimate possible. Such as "Your Bronco will be built in Q3 2022". Many are making plans around their Bronco delivery time. Lastly, during this reduced time of production....stock pile parts so we don't see delays and shutdowns next year due to commodity issues. Thank you. (long time multiple Ford Customer)

Ford Bronco 📣 Ford announces MIC hardtop solution (program 21B49): unscheduled orders will get MY2022, delivered & built Broncos will have tops replaced BroncoZ

There’s no email from Ford yet. They communicate to the dealers first before sending anything to the customers. Tomorrow is a good bet.

Nope not in spam either. Guess the bad news will arrive Friday if I am "lucky" enough to get notification at all.

Thankful for this forum to keep up

Guess the only bright side is I might get to change to a cool green color and maybe the roofracks will be available for the badlands hardtop. Though I demand a 3rd ten10 fedex package on top of the existing 2.

Same here. Blend date 7/14, production date 7/14 but has never switched to built on the tracker. I’m curious about this too. I’m assuming it falls under the built date passed where @Permaxyz looked up the vin and it said produced
You are built but sitting on dirt mountain. Sept. communication.

Ford has no idea when your specific truck will be built

They might have parts for it in Q1 2022 but your dealer may have too many trucks ahead of yours and not that much allocation. They might not have the parts for it until Q3 22 but they would have no idea what that supply is like now.

Doing some back of the napkin math. All of these are guesses. Anyone else have some more solid numbers?
The number of MIC tops needed:
- FE - Builds = 7,000 (this includes delivered, dirt pit and to be built FE's)
- Dirt Pit (MAP hostage) Broncos = Say 2,000 (excluding FE's above)
- Already delivered hard top Broncos = Say 3,000 (excluding FE's above).
- 2021 VIN generated but not built Bronco's (scheduled in June and July with delayed production) = Say 6,000

That totals to 18,000 Bronco hard tops needed to complete 2021 production.

When will Webasto production of the new improved MIC tops begin? IDK, lets use October 11.

How many tops can Webasto produce per day? IDK lets use 500 per day. and figure the plant is running 6 days a week just to be optimistic. That would be 3,000 tops per week or six weeks of production to build the 18,000 tops with no disruptions.

That takes up to Thanksgiving to produce the needed tops for 2021 production.

If Ford produces 2021 Broncos into the first week or two of December then I think they can get everything above accomplished. But, there isn't any wiggle room (unless Webasto can somehow produce more than 500 tops per day).
I would imagine that they would have to outpace ford's production to keep the lines running...

I understand your point...BUT....if you recall we were all supposed to get an approximate Build Date in May of this year.....well that fell apart. 2 weeks ago FORD said we would be in full [production on 8-2-21....well that fell apart and I honestly believe they knew at the time of all these MIC issues.

I’m in the exact same boat you are. Same build week and everything. I am going to try and talk to my dealer about switching, but I doubt they will unless Ford approves it.
I spoke with my dealer today and they basically told me "nope sorry you are out of luck". Since I am "scheduled" they can't make any changes. Which is f*ing ridiculous @Ford Motor Company because we all know that date won't stick. Much like the 6 previous dates I was given.

I'm thinking it's WAY too early for any of that. They apparently don't even have the new tooling in place yet, so no idea how long it could take to get new roofs flowing. The 20k figure keeps getting tossed around. If that turns out to be all there is for 21, there's going to be a very long wait for a lot of customers. Anyone that chose 22 already is likely a 23 now.
