all they have to do to cancel should be go on line and cancel witch should make the dealer happy because now they get more money for his Bronco
Depends on the dealer. My dealer doesn't do ADM on any vehicle they sell. Next customer would get it at MSRP.

The class action would have to be limited to those individuals that already received their defective MIC top Broncos. Assuming that a class action is not prohibited by the contract language signed by the buyer, there would be a class certification hearing and it would go to court or arbitration. During the discovery phase, the plaintiffs' class would be looking to show that Ford knew that the tops had serious issues well before they sent the vehicles out and knew that the plaintiffs' class would suffer damages such as actual damage to the vehicle, loss of use, and loss of resale value.
Lot of hassle for a little payoff. Not saying it can't or won't happen, but the damages are very limited. Ford aggressively defends all products liability actions, their lawyers would work the plaintiffs lawyers to death. Not a lot of gold at the end of that litigation rainbow.

I'm not sure you can force the dealer to cancel the order. They will certainly return the deposit, but it would mess with their allocation if they cancel.
It's MY order, not theirs. There is no forcing going on.

I could easily see a class big enough with potential damages in the thousands of dollars per class member to have a lawyer take the case. The media attention alone would force Ford to quickly try and settle any claims.
Great, the owners "thousands of dollars in damages" will be reduced to a free oil change certificate after the lawyers get rich on the fees

I find it very hard to believe that they aren't already making V2 tops... That would not make much sense... Otherwise, how would they have any idea of what to project?
LOL, you're assuming Ford actually does have "any idea of what to project." Which we know is not true, based on the disaster this launch has been since day 1.

Agreed. I was actually editing my last post when you posted. Here is what I said.

I didn't mean to imply that the class action would be successful or may ultimately even be allowed class status, but I do stand by my previous statement that someone will have filed a class action claim somewhere in the U.S. by the end of the day. I have seen many class actions filed on less potential damages with a smaller plaintiffs' class.

Plenty of idiots out there that would file it just for their 15 minutes of fame.

Your order is with the dealer. The vehicle order is between the dealer and Ford. If you don't understand the difference you will need to.

The dealer can technically do anything they want with the order. They can cancel it, they can change it and they can sell it to someone else. Now there are guardrails around some of those activities but there is nothing to prevent them from doing anything they want with the order.

I'd feel stupid, not one thing has gone to Ford's timeline and you thought your Bronco was going to be the one that showed up close to on time?
Why not? At the time in June/July the first ones where being delivered and my build was almost identical to PremierDrum's Bronco, who got his delivered.

I figured "worse case" I'd have it by the end this month, which would be about 60 days after its build date. I think that is a reasonable amount of time to expect in typical delays.

I wasn't expecting a wait of what could very well be a 5-6 month or more wait for a product, not to mention it sitting in a lot where it could be possibly destroyed in a weather event during that time.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered, but I didn't see it. I have a 7/13 blend date and my tracker says "in production" as of 7/14 and has been that way ever since (i.e., it hasn't clicked over to built.) Does this mean I am in the group that can expect an update in September (build date has passed) or the group that is in October update (vehicle is scheduled for production)?
Same here. Blend date 7/14, production date 7/14 but has never switched to built on the tracker. I’m curious about this too. I’m assuming it falls under the built date passed where @Permaxyz looked up the vin and it said produced

We shall see when the time comes. With all the games played by dealers, i'll do everything in my power to see they don't get to cash in at my expense. Nope, not gonna happen. ;)
