  1. Utah FS - AR | STIRRUP - 2 sets (4 steps total)

Sorry they are no longer available. Will mark as sold.
  2. 2.7L blown engine failure list . . 68 so far [Updated: December 13, 2022]

Both of my engine replacements took about 4-5 weeks end to end and I'd consider myself lucky with those timelines. Hard to see how to get it done much faster than that, maybe 3 weeks if a dealer had no other repair work. The first time was ~5 weeks and took longer because they didn't realize...

Selling 2 sets of lightly used AR | STIRRUPs, 4 steps total. Solid black. Clamps are black and brand new (got a replacement set but never installed them.) Asking $450, includes shipping.
  4. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

UPDATE (7/1/22) Got the Bronco back on 7/1. A quick replacement all things considered. They had to replace a few ignition coils(?) or something like that but it all seems to be in order. I don't know if we'll ever find out what was wrong with the engine as it was sent back to Ford. I'm glad to...
  5. Bike rack (in the hitch) recommendations?

My Bronco has been in the shop the last couple weeks getting the engine replacedā€¦for a second time. So I havenā€™t been able to use the rack much. But the couple times I used it, I really liked it. Install was pretty straightforward, no issues with threads on bolts or anything like that. Itā€™s very...
  6. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Iā€™ve asked the dealer to follow up with Ford to find out what went wrong, but I have a feeling once it goes on the pallet thatā€™ll be the last I hear of it.
  7. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Mileage is 5,203. My first replacement engine was a ā€˜22 AB, hope this one is better. Will be curious to see the build date.
  8. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Thanks and I agree about the service manager, he didn't want to waste time and figured the outcome was going to be poor anyway. I'm stuck between "Third time's a charm" and "Fool me twice, shame on me..."
  9. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Hereā€™s the quick update. Iā€™ll probably need to update the title for this thread as well. The service manager verified that the noise is coming from within the engine. He does not know what is causing the noise other than it doesnā€™t sound good. There was no visible metal in the oil. Could be a...
  10. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Having it towed to the dealer this morning. I backed it out of the garage and on to the street so that itā€™s in better position for the tow. When I shut it down I swear I heard what sounded like a gurgling noise coming from the engine, like water glugging down a clogged drain.
  11. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Because itā€™s Sunday and the dealer is closed? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Donā€™t worry, Iā€™ll be taking it in tomorrow.
  12. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Yeah no codes or anything. It does sound more like a lifter noise based on comparing to other videos. But who knows. Will see what dealer says in the morning and report back.
  13. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Doesnā€™t sound like the noise in that video, but will check out those threads.
  14. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

Thanks. Iā€™ll check again but didnā€™t seem like anything was hitting, at least from what I could see.
  15. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

There doesn't appear to be any metal in the oil. Bad photo below.
  16. UPDATE: Engine Being Replaced AGAIN [Clicking noise in replacement 2.7 engine]

When it happened the engine was definitely pretty warm - had driven a good 20 minutes before stopping for 15 to hose off the car. Started it up for the videos and it had been a few hours so it cooled off. I'll see what happens after I drive it again. I'm fairly skittish about this given this is...
