Ditto. Best decision I made a few months ago as I watched this shitshow unfold.
Only until you realize that 99ing for a '22 just turned into a '23! lol

You know it's bad when my boss just forwarded me an Automotive news article citing this forum to let me know about bad bronco news.

I just had the front two on the wifes tinted. That stinks sorry to hear that.
I think what sucks is that I really like the bronco. With the base not having any tint that is going to look ridiculous for a little bit

Hmmm. My Bronco was built yesterday. Still shows "In Production" on the tracker, but the modules are showing active.

I wonder what the cutoff date is for those that have to have roofs replaced, and ones that have the satisfactory roofs are.
Mine was supposed to be built today, but the modules aren’t populating, so I’m guessing today is the cutoff...

This would be more acceptable / tolerable if Ford would just lock in a price for us for a MIC hardtop. I would be happy with driving around a soft top for a couple of years if I knew the HIC top would cost me say $1000 in 2023. The part that worries me is that the dealers love to make a dollar on parts so it would not surprise me that a top could be $5000 or more.
All Ford has to do is lock in a price and we can all make an informed decision. But this no price bull S#!T scares me.
1000X THIS!

Welp, there it is. Not even an email to address us, just throw it up on the site. Well done once again @Ford Motor Company .
I mean the info was provided..... Does having these docs emailed to you vs posted on a forum you frequent really do anything different? A auto generated greeting with your name in an email version of this going to soften the blow somehow?

What a shitshow, three ring monkey fornication! Not the news I wanted I wanted with my morning coffee. I hit the trifecta if doom with a 2-Door, 2.7 and tow package I guess.

Hi all. We hear you and are working hard on getting you out in the wild in your Bronco as quickly as possible. Depending on your build, we are actively starting to communicate where we are and what we’re doing to make it right. In the meantime, please check out our latest FAQs here: https://ford.to/broncosupport

I had a feeling mine (Day 2 res, no VIN) was going to slip to MY22 but I had a small amount of hope. I feel bad for folks with VINs and no ability to accept a soft top (replaced at factory or dealer) to expedite delivery vs waiting for the new top design to get in production.

I have wrestled with switching to a soft top since we saw news of this last night. I just can't do it. Others may love a soft top but my Bronco will see DD usage include highway travel. It would most likely be our long distance hauler like most of my vehicles have been for the last 20 years. I'll rarely remove the panels on the hard top for open air driving, so a soft top makes no sense in how I'll use the vehicle. Result - stay the course. My 2018 Tacoma will keep doing DD duty which is has done without fail. If I get a MY22 sometime early, mid or late next year, then so be it.

I don't see why @Ford Motor Company wouldn't accelerate the mod top at this point. The tooling was pulled months ago and presumably moved to a different supplier. Yanking it from the order sheet created even more demand for the MIC for those completely uninterested in the soft top. Whatever adjustments needed to be made could be done quietly in the background and it brought back to alleviate the crisis in getting all the MIC tops swapped out. A lot of us wanted it in the first place and many more may be interested just to never have to deal with the MIC top. It's like an ace in their pocket to get them out of this mess as soon as possible.

Can I ask a basic question and maybe just get a basic yes/no if that's even possible? I have a BL, Sas, 2.7, 4 door WITH a MIC top, WITH a VIN and WITH a production week of 8/30 (moved from 8/23 last week and it's the 3rd time it's been moved). Am I getting a '21 MIC and is it going to be produced the week of 8/30 based on language in this announcement and if NOT, when will it be produced (using Ford's language, not all of our smart ass sarcasm). OR does it make sense to switch to soft top and follow up to that is: Can I even switch to soft top given that I already have VIN and schedule date?
Similar situation, moved to 8/30 (though dealer says it actually shows 9/13 now in system despite no notification from Ford). To answer your question, it sounds like we'll probably get a MY21 delivered very late in 2021 or possibly early 2022. I expect I'll get pushed to late 4Q 2021 since we're at the back of the line behind delivered, FE, and bad batch.

And no, because we have a VIN, we cannot switch to soft top. Sucks.
I have a 2.3 manual , 4-door BL with a MIC and the same build date as you. I called my dealer and basically asked what the hell does this mean for my build and could I switch it to a soft top even though everything I've seen says no because I already have a VIN. They said I could still switch, which I'm calling BS on. I followed up to get a real answer but no response yet. Basically, I think I'll be lucky if I see mine before December and probably later, which sucks.
All of your Broncos have VINs and are being assembled/have been assembled... there's no sense, or ability, to change your order.... why would you want to? You're going to get exactly what you ordered.

According to the documents shared, your Broncos will remain at Ford until they have the newly designed tops to put on them. Once they get those tops, you'll get your Bronco.

Congrats!
