Why all the Ohio hate? Granted when I retire I'm getting out but what has Ohio done to all of you? We are pretty vanilla by all standards. Not actually a bad place to live. Plenty of water, no wild fires, no hurricanes, rarely get hit by a tornado, manufacturing and professional jobs. We kind of hve our own motto "It's a great place to be from".

Is it the Ohio State football thing? Some of the fans are insufferable.

I live in Texas , you don't know insufferable until you've had to hear UT and A&M fans argue.

Western PA isn't that different than NE Ohio and where I'm from. I can be in Pittsburgh in 1.5 hours. Rust belt and blue collar. Yinzers just talk differently and like the Steelers.

We use to go camping a lot in Ohio as a kid, was really pretty in the fall

My daughter (25 yrs old) is living and working in south Florida. My son (22) is in the Navy, Norfolk, VA. They both try and get home to Ohio in the fall any chance they can. Ohio in the fall is my only hang up about moving after retirement. You can actually smell football in the air along with burning leaves and a perfect climate for jeans and a sweatshirt.

Here's an idea, instead of sending us swag that'll become part of our hoarding pile, cuz 'murica, why doesn't Ford do something like slash the "Destination Charge"? Bump it down to $1,000, $500, $0, something! That would possibly resonate as more genuine than Ford throwing money at a third party company to keep us around.

That's about the only time I really miss that area. Then winter happens and 13ys of Army (arthritis) reminds me why I can't live in cold climates.
