ikr .... what's also puzzling to me is that they all share the same brake pads, calipers, pistons and disks between the 30" and 35" tires .... you would think you need more force to stop a 35" tire than a 30"The reason I question this metric of danger, specifically on the Bronco, is the tire size difference from Base to BB/BD/OBX is over 3%. And that's with the same suspension.
It probably helps... which is why I'd be comfortable going up to 35's, they're all 90% built the same. Biggest breaking point seams to be the axles being weaker in the lower trims, the marginal lift is easily overcome.
if you were to put the same motor transmission vehicles side by side and do a comparison. you would find straight line acceleration and braking to be superior in the vehicles with the smallest and lightest wheels and tires. the base with the 255/70-16 will have the best acceleration and braking unless the aluminum wheels are much much lighter..
depending on what you are using it for. mud - bad, snow - good. all tires have trade offs. you need to do your research and find which one does the best for your specific purpose. there is no one best tire for everything. unfortunately it looks like most on this forum only want a bigger tire for the sake of looks.

Well, when you consider that these are the same brakes that the ranger uses to achieve a 7500 pound towing capacity, I think it's going to be ok.
zooming in on one of the pics from the ebay listing, it looks like LT265/75R16, which would put it at 31.6"From facebook and ebay no specs but guessing 32s.
I’m having a hard time deciding between 32s and 33s for my base 2-door. Starting to think 33s may be too big for me.🥲 But I reallly want them.
