Any situation related to a dealer selling someone's Bronco to another customer at an upcharge is some scum bag level $hit but threatening violence or saying that you'd be willing to get arrested over this is dumb. At the end of the day, its a vehicle and I'll move on if that happens to me by never using that dealer again, calling them out online and on any review site I could find as well as possibly never buying another Ford again. But I won't go to the extremes over a car purchase. Plenty of dealers are scum bags and have always been scum bags. No surprise here and I expect to see more stories like this regardless of any signed agreements. Life is too short to act like its the end of the world to not get what someone said they would sell to you.

Out of curiosity, did Ford offer dealer stock units to your dealership?
No, we've been able to fill all of our demand with retail units.
This may not be the thread, but I'd love to be corrected if this isn't correct. My understanding is that Ford is reaching out to encourage dealers to have some stock builds ready, but that nobody is being "offered" stock builds, instead they are being told that if no orders can be built for their monthly allocation that stock builds will be produced and delivered for those monthly allocations.

Also, my understanding is that stock builds are pretty restricted on options right now - first and foremost being soft top only, and other constraints are off limits too?

Thanks for any guidance that can be provided on this.

There were 190k orders...Ford has said 60k of those will be filled for 21MY. Let's say that's optimistic and Ford is only capable of doing 40k. That leaves Ford an ENTIRE model year to build 150k Broncos. Let's break down 150k÷12...12500 a month. What you're saying is one of if not the largest US based auto manufacturer is incapable of building roughly 500 Broncos a day when they're at full capacity. LOL.
There weren't 190k orders, there were 190k reservations. There were 120-130k reservations actually converted to orders if I recall correctly.

Just to add to this, last I heard (and if memory serves me, someone should correct me if I'm wrong) peak Bronco output will be roughly 10,000 units a month.
Last I read the conservative estimate was 600 per day at full steam. If MAP is doing 6 day weeks that's over 14k units per month.

@TheWoo you're probably correct. I see zero issue with all current orders being fulfilled next model year.

Of course they don't but the sheer amount of members of this forum , will fill anyone's quota for years to come. Listen, I don't give a rats ass, when and if you get your ordered Bronco. I was just stating my opinion. Some ppl are fine waiting some don't. My point was, by using an overly popular dealer will delay your order regardless if you want to take ownership in 22 or 23 or 2028. Use your brain not your heart. Its just business
Ford has stated that all reservation orders will be filled in 2022. (We all know that there will be purchasers that want to wait for things like mod tops so those will wait, by choice.) The fact is that Ford did not have production capacity in 2021 to fill more than a fraction of orders which is why the allocations were needed. That will not be the case in 2022 (based on what we know now).

Very unfortunate but a lesson for all of this. I had an erl
I came across this the other night because it turns out the person that got screwed over was a friend of a friend.

My biggest issue when hearing about it was that the person is a young woman in her mid to late 20s. She’s definitely no hardcore Bronco enthusiast that followed online forums that warned about this shit. I’m almost certain that she’s never ordered a vehicle as opposed to just being a walk-in customer.

I haven’t been able to get the details on how her reservation and order process went, but she did share a text string with me that showed the salesman telling her the day of pickup that there were walk-in customers with “insane offers for it” and that his managers were telling him there would be ADM of $10k. The text with the additional markup literally follows her text that she’d be at the dealership soon. Then when she got to financing the ADM shot up to $20k!

Definitely would have been harder to pull this shit on a dude. I know I would have been livid and parked my ass in the Bronco and let everyone know what they were trying to pull.
This is a very unfortunate situation and makes me feel sick that this could happen, especially for that young woman to go through on her 1st car purchasing situation but a valuable lesson for everyone. I had an early reservation with my local dealer that I've done business with in the past but they absolutely refused to agree to any price until it arrived. I was afraid this situation would happen to me. Perhaps they figured I'd be so desperate after waiting 1 to 2 years that I'd pay anything they demanded. They even chastised other dealerships on this site for being dishonest for offering discounts. Needless to say, I canceled my reservation and am working with an excellent dealership now. I'm looking forward to making a road trip with my wife next year to Iowa 😉.

Hello sir, I hope you are doing well.

I won't take anything I read on the internet at face value. There's two sides to every story and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

We're aware and on top of it.
Which side of the story includes the dealer representing to members of this forum last year that they would not be charging ADM on reserved / ordered Broncos, then turning around and charging ADM?

This story made me think about how badly I want my Bronco. I'm willing to put up with MIC top issues but I'm drawing the line at not honoring pricing. It's probably the single thing that will make me walk, I'd rather make a new res and punt for MY23.

There's no other new cars I'm even slightly interested in, so I think finding a clean Samurai or maaaaybe a TJ might be the play in the meantime.

Some can walk the line some cant that’s why there are jails. Good for you. People that take vantage of others count on the fact there are more people like yourself but sometimes they’re wrong. At that point both lose.

I’ve seen a dealer already selling stock units. Cleveland ford in Tennessee. The restrictions were base or big bend only four-door soft top no modular bumper no tow package 2.3 only. Before they give dealer allocations they really should’ve searched all the reservations to make sure there were no buildable units. It seems that allocations played a role into that also.

This has been stated over and over again and again. We get it. 🤨
Don’t bust my balls. Maybe you should read what I replied to so you can better understand why I said what I said. Everyone wants to point the finger at Ford when it’s not really fully in their control.
