AZ also... why are you picking what you’re picking? Have multiple vehicles ? Avid off-road ?
A little bit of everything. Rocky point trips, trips up north near Payson/table Mesa, Moab, daily driver. A little bit of everything. The base+Sasquatch can do all of that, but I want a manual. If I can’t get a manual Sasquatch base model, and if the V6 Bronco truly has only 3500 lbs towing capacity idk what I’m going to do. (Only way I would buy an auto Bronco is if it can tow half decent so I can build a rock crawler)

I know I’m not going crazy - Ford site had a picture of a base silver 2 door - side view with steelies. Great proportions. Anyone have the pic? I can’t find it anymore.

whichever bronco I end up with I’m keeping for a long time. If I end up with a tow rig, it will be mostly a daily. If I end up with the 2 door it’s going to end up being a crawler and I’ll buy another vehicle as a tow rig down the road.

That's weird, but might also explain the huge price difference between 2dr and 4dr models compared to other trims...So 4dr is locked out of manual huh....and laj.texmuk confirmed no rubber+drainplugs option for the base. Bummer.
using math, i have calculated that the auto transmission will cost approximately 2,205$ as an upgrade. thankyou, i never noticed the base 4-door price jump and auto-only status.

Do we know if the optional transfer case will be available in the base with manual?

I bought a base 02' Escape xls off the lot, sales guy said "oh, you do not want those steel wheels and a 5 speed stick". I think it was under $15k off the lot, a loss leader. Drove that sucker for 12 years and 170k miles. Great little rig and those steel wheels were still round when I sold it.

Hope to do the same here. Put some nice rubber on the steels, uhaul hitch if I need one and drive. Have to decide on tinting the windows since top can come off.

base for the modification aspect. I already plan to swap out the wheels first, and Ford advertising 200+ options for these, we'll see what can be done to make it unique and maximize utility.

i don't see it yet, but i am hoping i can upgrade the interior of the base to have the marine-grade vinyl seats. Maybe the plastic flooring instead of the carpet, no drain plug would be fine. i can't even think of 200 options to put on a car.

There has to be a way to replace the floor with the rubber floor. It would make sense that the holes are stamped into the metal floor. The rubber floor is around $200 on an F150 if you buy it after purchase.

You really think it'll be that steep? I feel like auto is usually a $1200-1500 option. That might lock me into a bare bones base auto. Hopefully I can just option bigger tires onto the steelies

I hope so. I think it would be a dealer installed option. Based on how Ford typically does their packaging, you won't have a tire choice. It doesn't sound like they will be offering packages within the Base trim. Hopefully that changes. I do think there will be a lot add ons that are dealer installed but on the order guide.

The first thing I'm going to do is throw new tires on my base. Hopefully the dealers will be able to set speedos for different tire heights.

I would love a Ford Performance Package like they have on the Ranger. I'm sure there will be one.

I've been pouring over the specs. The highest trim I can stomach is the Black Diamond. From what I know today I could go three ways:

1.) Base - 2.7, w/auto, Sasquatch Pkg., HD Modular Front Bumper, Aux Switches, Apple car play (hopefully this is a stand alone option);
2.) Big Bend - 2.3, w/manual, optional rear locker, D Modular Front Bumper, Aux Switches, Apple car play; or
3.) Black Diamond - 2.3, w/manual, no options.

Each has its pros and cons. I could live with either trim as configured. The Base would obviously be the most off road worthy with the bigger tires, lockers and bigger front end. All depends on price I don't rock crawl or need front/rear lockers and 35's but it would be sweet.
From what I saw in the ford website, carplay is only available as an option in the big bend trim and up... I'm assuming its part of the Mid-package which unfortunately isn't offered with the Base model.

Base + sasquatch + mid package would've been my ideal build
