Ford Bronco Confused on order! Help 54004624-46BD-4F55-B87C-F5ACB025D304

My dealer is no help so turning to you all for some guidance. I reserved late, January this year. I received an email to go to the dealer on 3/17 and place the order. I called the dealer and they said it wasn’t time and no idea why I got the email from ford. So I didn’t do anything until I logged in a month ago to see the above. It now says in store order and it was placed the day I spoke with them. I called the dealer again and they state I won’t be receiving a 2021 model but will get a 2022 when the order banks open for it. I am okay waiting but the dealer doesn’t seem to have a clue and blames ford for the lack of communication. Does the information received seem accurate?

Sorry guys. Yes, my question is I never ordered anything or picked out any accessories or anything yet it says a order was placed so what stage is this? Am I just waiting for the order banks to open them place the order with the dealer? Once again cool with waiting but I am thrown off by the “order placed” and in store order parts

Your order will be priority 99 aka MY22 it shows up as ordered even though you haven’t submitted your build for an order. I have the same thing with my second reservation. Everything is cool don’t worry and get excited when you start seeing MY22 build and price threads.

I could be wrong but that’s my best guess about what you’re asking and what your answer is.

All good, I think that they screwed up honestly. You have to sign off on the official order. Search back a few months, there was a bunch of ppls who's dealer submitted their order without confirmation. when did you make your reso? I think your mindset about not being angry about a 2022 is pretty good bc i'd be pretty mad if they didn't ask me to confirm my order AND pushed me to 2022. hope that helps.

**edit** I see your jan reso. so you were probably going to get a 2022 no matter what and I think they'll reach back out for your order when 2022 options come out.

The dealer hijacked your reservation and converted it to an order to build up his stock. He ordered it the way he thought it would sell the fastest on the lot at the highest price, to include ADM (additional dealer markup). You are dealing with a crook.

I hope that’s not true but so what do I do in this case? How do I fix it?

Sign? Dealers that do actual paperwork. hahahah. My dealer told me, don't come in, e-mail me your build, then he texted a picture of the DORA. It shows as ordered on my Ford account, so I assume mine is ordered.

I hate dealing with dealers so much. It's like they are genetically capable of being straightforward. Like how they are lazy and keep lying about the order banks being closed.

Yours shows pretty much the same as mine except I'm an early reservation waiting for a 22. With you being a late reservation I'd ask your dealer if you're a 99 which means you'll be a 22 as well and will be able to finish the real order once 22 build and price comes out.

When the 2022 B&P comes online, Everyone who has a 2022 will have to resubmit their build.

OP … you are fine. You will get to select everything about your build when the 2022 becomes available.

You don’t have enough info to know whether this is suspect or not, which is why you’re getting two different types of answers.

What we know: Your dealer converted your reservation to an order.

What we don’t know: Whether they ordered it how you exactly wanted, and more importantly, what priority they gave it.

That’s important because if they have it a 99 code, it means it’s just a place holder and you’ll submit your “real” order for MY22 when the time comes. This could have been done because your reservation is late and they assumed it was going to be a MY22 anyway.

That could be a problem because if your desired build doesn’t have any MY22 only options, there’s still a chance you could get your bronco in MY21.

The worse scenario is they gave it a regular build priority, didn’t spec it the way you wanted, and it gets pulled and built… this could happen because either they are stealing your reservation or they’re idiots and don’t know how any of this works.

Your next steps: You need to demand a copy of the Order Summary Sheet (WBDO/DORA) from the dealer. This outlines exactly what order was placed on your behalf, from your reservation, with your name on it. It will show you not only what they entered but also the priority code.

Demand that document. Not all dealership employees have the ability or wherewithal to generate it, but someone there does. Get that.

Once you get that we’ll have a much fuller or even complete picture of what is going on.
