I'm with all those that mentioned ..... ( take a break )

Life is short , crappie are still biting , camping / hiking weather is here

Believe me there are people not sleeping well until our Bronco is in our driveways , let them bear the burden.

To cut through the bullshit, and summarize what is happening

Lack of MIC tops and Ford attempting to still fill all FEs in 2021, and there’s no telling what’s left for everyone else. For those without an FE but with a MIC top - the way the system is setup (paired with MIC shortage) has created a dynamic that its a race to get picked before you fall off your dealers allocation list for 2021

Maybe a Day 1 allocation loaded sas MIC stillhangs on towards the end of the year. Or a Day 3 reservation that’s a simpler build with a MIC

My day 1 loaded sas MIC of absolutely no surprise has naturally moved to the #1 allocation. And that’s only because builds in front of me (and behind me) were picked. I plan on staying there for awhile while the dealer has simpler orders pulled. Any other early reservation holders here will likely find themselves close to or at the number #1 spot as well. Then it becomes a question of do I get picked before the allocations run out. Don’t forget. Dealers have 4x the number of orders to allocations. So you have to think of all later simpler orders ford can choose from as well

Here’s what it could look like for an early loaded build

March - #10 allocation spot of 50 allocations. 200 orders to choose from
April - #5 allocation. 10 builds picked (5 in front of you, 5 behind you). 40 allocations left. 190 orders left
May - #1 allocation. 10 builds picked (5 in front, 5 behind). 30 allocations left. 180 orders left
June - Still #1 allocation. 10 builds picked - all simpler builds or soft tops behind you. 20 allocations left. 170 orders left
July -...and well, you get the idea...this continues until you get the green light that the factory has a MIC top for you, as well as the Sasquatch package etc. And it’s a race until the dealer runs out of allocations for 2021

the worst scenario is you have a loaded sas mic, and the dealer has 5 builds just like yours, and they are allocations 1-5 and you’re stuck at the 6 spot.
Your scenario may come to fruition or not, but one thing is true in all the 'what if' scenarios. That is that customer orders ARE being built. From Ford (and everyone's) perspective this is a good thing. Folks with early time stamps feel slighted and that Ford OWES them their builds NOW, but everyone has known about commodity constraints for a LONG time. People with easy builds that get selected are HAPPY. Ford has decided to put scarce chips into the Bronco to the detriment of other vehicles and we should all be happy about this.

P.S. In my opinion it's a huge marketing foul up , marketing staff with waaaaay to much influence. The rule of thumb principle should be to "under promise and over deliver."
Yes, like BN and some forum members on F’s payroll

This is beyond depressing. I've bought 17 vehicles since 1974 and none came even close to the cluster* that this Bronco purchase has become. Used to be able to walk into a showroom and drive out with a new vehicle, or order one and pick it up in a month.

But now we have reservations, delays, missing parts, priority orders, commodities, previews, events, allocations, order codes, Thursday emails, microchips on a stuck barge, no soft tops for 2 doors, suppliers that can't find workers, and many, many more smoke screens to hide the fact that we still don't have any idea on when we'll get our Broncos .
Agreed! Disappointing...

This has become boring and depressing. :( I feel like we have been stuck in neutral if not reverse for the past six months. If Webasto and whoever else can’t get the job done in a reasonable amount of time which they obviously haven’t been able to do so far then Ford needs to kick them to the curb and find somebody who can.
Completely agree. Given the take up rate on the MIC top and a production rate of 40.day it will take the next 5 years of production to fill the current reservation. Model year 2026 for delivery.

So the company that makes the tops is the biggest issue at the moment. Is it a case of a company simply not equipped to meet the demands, or have they used the virus as an excuse? I have seen on this board, folks stating the company is in desperate need of employees. What happened to all the pre virus employees? Was this company ever truly setup to deliver their product on time? What escapes me is how we have not heard of a law suit filed by Ford against the top maker, for failure to deliver. I also can’t believe some other company that has the top making capability hasn’t approached Ford.
