Mounted to the inside of the tailgate is a way to deal with the spare in lieu of a swing away carrier.

Dig it, but thinking of leg room swinging off the end of the tail gate for camping and such.

Not being a jerk, but what use do you need the tailgate for that is worth the inconvenience of getting to the rear cargo area? Just curious. All I can think of is sitting on it, but that’s not really a use.
