honestly, I’d say the information posted in this thread is some of the worst news update we’ve seen. Not to be overly negative, but the July builds were supposed to be the thing we were really hanging on to to get the balance of Day 1 reservations scheduled. Seems like that’s not the case for most...again...and August build/September delivery seems like BEST case scenario, and could easily be later.
You speak truth Kemosabe. Especially since there's no top resolution date on the horizon. Just how long will it take Webasto to hire & train up a factory full of workers...and then for Ford to quality check the output?

MHO IS all this stalling BS , they are leading up to a price increase .
in my world of service retail you can't for see the future and when all the suppliers send out memo's that they can't deliver because they have been hit with increases they have to pass it on .
Ford is stalling on passing it on to us , but they will , watch and see . its all dollars and cents / & sense.
all the metal , plastics, rubber, fiberglass, anything and everything that goes into building a vehicle keeps going up weekly /monthly
they are not going to let it get into their profit portfolio .
MY .2 CENTS WORTH , OH WAIT IT'S $.5 CENTS NOW

I want to draw particular attention to this one section for anyone so inclined...

July Production Notes

· Soft Top Production Opportunity

o Customers looking to get their Bronco as soon as possible should consider changing their order from hard top to soft top by May 12, ahead of July production scheduling period

o Based on current mix of soft top production and the number of available orders in order bank, a large number of soft top orders with very late time stamps will schedule for July production
Zach @ Granger referred to these as the Money Broncos. He alluded to this possibility for late reservation holders to jump the line. For some of the Grange-tober reservation holders with the $2K below invoice deal, they would have the opportunity to secure an early build and flip it for profit.

I would be willing to make this change if I can get it drastically earlier. I have a 7/29 time stamp and would probably be 22MY. I added the tow pkg for the hell of it, but don’t have anything to tow right now so no big deal. And as long as I can still get the MIC hardtop down the road in a few months or in 2022 then I’m cool with that.

The MIC hardtop is something I can purchase separately in the future correct? Everything else can stay the same on my order.

What are the non-existent hardtop connections people are referring to if the bronco comes with a soft top? Are you referring to the holes for the bolts to attach to the vehicle or what exactly is it? And how would one go about adding the hard tip later, would the dealer be able to add those connections?
It's all over the forum did you bother searching?

The search feature on this forum is a joke. You search for information on the stereo system and all that comes up is information on the Sasquatch package. Better off to use Google.

Updating to remove ‘rumor’ comment after re-reading. If you change your order to ‘hopefully’ get something a bit earlier is nonsensical to me. To each their own but I’m holding out for what I want. Keep in mind, if you change to a soft top you will have no connections for a hard top later.
This is pathetic first they said problem with black painted hard top and that was a while ago no mention of tow package now all hard tops and tow package and I have both I wanted this shite by late summer at least i'm in my late 60s I want to enjoy it nowwwwwwww.

Let me see if I’ve got this straight......B&P rollout=modular painted blacktops, MIC tops, soft tops, dual tops all available. At some point later=Modular painted black tops deemed late availability and only available in MY22 (which really screwed up WTs since their entire paint scheme was based on the black painted glossy top) At some point later=no dual tops and everyone wanting a MY21 must change their order to soft top or MIC top. And yet later=MIC top is seriously constrained and will get your build pushed back to an as of yet undetermined future date......so only order soft tops.......however, 2dr’s can’t even be ordered with the soft top.
Does that about cover it? But, but, but, COVID......... During the first 16 months of WW2 US manufacturing cranked out 88,000 tanks, 332,000 aircraft, 7,333 warships, 40 billion bullets, and 600,000 Jeeps......while every Abbie-bodied male was off fighting Nazis, and a woman factory worker made $32 per week. I guess things have changed.
Maybe we can convince the greatest generation ( those still alive) to come out of retirement and bail us out again, since this whiney generation is more about complaining and sticking their hand out for a government check than getting back to work.

So help me Jesus, when I finally get this, they better have at least used clear drying super glue to hold the Broncos together!

Good luck with that. I am a nurse and have to listen to new nurses complain about having to deal with their patients all the time. I have to ask them why did they get into nursing if you can't deal with the public? I guess at least they are working. There are tough patients that do abuse us, but they are not all like that.

They've already confirmed prices are locked for MY21 and MY22 if you have an order placed.

Yup. Is that your quote or someone elses quote?

the most frustrating thing is that those with Day 1/2 reservation felt safe and would not be hit with supply chain issues. I always viewed being 2+ months out as being a really bad situation. And between demo builds and prioirity builds most of those loaded Day 1/2 reservations were pushed out just enough to land in that shit storm I had imagined. Everything we are seeing unfold in real time was exactly what I thought was going to happen, and were pushed out enough to now be caught up in it.

sounds like the flood gates are opening and super late soft tops will be taken into account.

And didn’t they say FEs would be 2021? Meaning they need to reserve whatever hard tops they do get to try to guaranty those FEs are built?

Im sensing that guys with Day 1/2 reservations with loaded builds (but not an FE) such as myself, are going to be much later in the year, and if they booked at a smaller dealer with less allocations, could find themselves off the list entirely for 2021.

If demos and priority builds weren’t front loaded this could have been avoided. Very frustrating.

heres an example...my example...

I’m a day 1 reservation. Loaded sas OBX. allocation #2. Dealer has 39 allocations across 152 orders. Last I checked they had 11 builds assigned (could be more by now). 28 allocations to go. If there’s 20 simpler soft tops in the original 152 orders and they all get assigned in the next week or so, now the dealer has 31 allocations filled with only 8 left. Another week goes by and a few FEs are assigned, and well, thats it...I was sitting pretty from the onset, but there’s certainly a decent probability that I don’t get this bronco in 2021. Even a Day 1, allocation #2 may not save me.

All 2-doors must be hardtop so by definition shouldn't all of them be on this deadly 6 or is it 4 but I just showed you it should be at least 5 or are two doors exempt from this hardtop constraint thank you for getting to the end of my run on sentence with no punctuation.
