Not seeing any reference to the Bronco?
It references Ford, with the F-150 and other models short on chips you can be guaranteed the Bronco will as well.

Typically supplier and model information is proprietary and held close to the vest by companies, Ford and the Bronco are no different.

IT guy here - I'm willing to sacrifice two GTX 1060's and an RTX 2080 to get my Bronco in June or July. :geek:

It does seem likely Ford would use the same solution across platforms, although we use Renesas/Intersil in some product but we also use TI or Infineon in others, so fingers crossed...

Ford is not reducing production of the F-150 to help out Bronco orders . The F-150 is there golden child it might be the other way around and push us back even more hope not
I've seen similar comments elsewhere, but I'm not so sure about this.

The F-150 is an established product line, so delaying some orders is unlikely to have a big impact on F-150 sales long-term. The Bronco is essentially a new line, one in which Ford has invested a lot of time and money. They need this launch to go well if they want to really establish themselves as the Jeep competitor and get some market share. (I'd also think they need to do so before Jeep's 392 is available.)

I may be a moron - and even if I'm not, who knows who's making the decision at Ford - but I'd lean towards delaying some F-150s to ensure a minimum of hiccups with the Bronco launch.

I work for a large Deere ag dealer and after going through the last year in good shape, they are backordering more parts in the last month than normally would happen in a year. They have told us to expect delays with electrical and plastic items. Major manufacturers source their parts worldwide so can be effected by many factors. Some of our suppliers that import products from various countries overseas have told us that containers, if they can get unloaded are sitting on west coast docks from 1-2 months before they move as the dock workers are not working full time. Ships are anchored outside of the ports waiting to be unloaded. This will effect all U.S. manufacturing in a negative way by no fault of their own. I hate to see this as I REALLY don't want to see my BD delayed but this is the world that we have today.

The shortages are, in part, driving up the values on used Raptors to the point that I’m likely to sell mine in the near future. I‘m looking at up to a $15K payout if I sell it private party.

Ford, at least use to, take a lot of pride in the F-Series being the sales king. I agree their focus should be getting some Broncos out, even at the expense of some trucks, but I'm not sure they are willing to allow Government Motors to pick up some additional sales

Dealer told me that he expects to see no Bronco this year. How many Bronco Sports do you see. The entire auto industry is getting hurt. The Pentastar 3.6 V6 that is in every Wrangler and many FCA vehicles is having the oil cooler/filter housing leak and there are 47K on order with none available anywhere for several weeks.
Can't they just build all the Broncos and just plug in the chip when they get them,,,,,,LOL.

Actually, Ford is doing just that.

Went over to the dealership today. ZERO F-250’s, three Rangers, and five F-150’s in stock. Sad times. Plenty of Mustang’s and two Bronco Sports oddly enough though.

Don’t shoot the messenger:

“Ford, Toyota, Fiat, Nissan, VW, and other major car brands announced that they needed to reduce production expectations and acknowledged that they anticipate falling short of 2021 production targets.”

..... This is relation to the printed circuit board shortage the world is currently experiencing. We have yet to discover how much this shortage is going to be further exasperated by the blockage of the Suez Canal, a major Shipping route between Asia and the Americas.
