I hope Ford is transparent in terms of how this might impact Bronco delivery dates. I assume the Bronco requires the same chips that other modern trucks and cars require. There have been many announcements of production delays by other manufacturers.

Yep... that is me. I'm trying to limp along the other all wheel drive vehicle we have, but it's not making it through next winter. 7/14 12ish am reservation. Let's see what happens.

can someone confirm if Ford is affected?

It kind of sucks - with these other delays - the 2.7 and Sasq materials will all be in ready supply by the time they get the chips. I skipped on those for earlier delivery, I would be bummed to know I could have Sasq'd without delays.
They’re canceling their bread and butter F1 50 orders because of this. Hopefully they allocated enough for the bronco but if I were guessing that’s would be no.

Big fat yawn 🥱...

I get less and less enthused with all of this has the days go by...
Emotional Rollercoaster ain't it?
One week we hear bad news
Good news the next (free headliners)
Bad news again the following (fire at chip plant)

Best to stay away from the forums to not get swept up in the waves...

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who heard Ford is having extra trouble with the chips because alternate manufacturers are making them too heavy and putting the Bronco over GVWR.

Ford's stock price is down 3.4% intra-day, likely a result of this news from yesterday...

Ford Super Duty, Expedition production cut because of chip shortage

The global semiconductor shortage plaguing the auto industry is forcing Ford to cut the number of shifts at the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville and shut down the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake this week.

Ohio Assembly will be down completely and Kentucky Truck will be working two of three shifts because of a parts shortage, Kelli Felker, Ford global manufacturing and labor communications manager, said Monday.

Both plants are scheduled to return to full production on March 29....
