I’ve seen the collar used in videos but have never driven one myself. I prefer the method used in VW/Audi and others where you push in/downward on the shifter to shift into reverse. Just looks better because there is no collar. But obviously the collar isn’t a dealbreaker for me lol.
Yeah, me too. I learned stick on a 96 contour (which was a fun car) and it had the pull up collar, while our mazda 6 now has the push down instead. I prefer that mechanism, but they both work.

BN didn't even post the original until 1:40. I bet they grabbed that link from over here as well. First actual reply wasn't even until after 3:00. Goes to show you how lame the level of enthusiasm is over there.
BN is basically our big, cookie and pizza slice stealing big sister. We hate her, but until mom and dad leave her out in the middle of a difficult trail, we gotta put up with the bitch until she moves out of the house.

I'm apartment shopping for her on Zillow as we type!

Yes, the pizza slice she steals is pinapple pizza. I left dog poop under her bed in a paper sack. Ha! 😝

So happy engine will shut off after awhile if left on idle! When used to keyed ignition in our other vehicles it is too easy to get out, take key, and forget to hit shut off button. Wife’s Wrangler will just keep running and running and running.......

front and rear locker have their own button, but yes some GOAT modes with activate the rear locker.
I'm sure the engineers have good reason but it's a bit of a bummer that the front locker disconnects at 25mph. If you're gunning it through a mud bog or ascending an unplowed hill momentum is your friend and you can't always babysit the speedo.

Andy, dude, thank you. Now if you could find the download for the Owners Manual that would make the day complete. Of course I could read the ref. guide for the next few weeks, and be happy, happy, happy. :)
FWIW, I clicked on the "Need printed copies?" link on Ford's site and it took me to Helm's site where I entered 2021 Bronco and it lists several manuals for the Sport but then there's one that says 2021 Bronco Owner Manual FULL - French and Item temporarily unavailable. The item will be available on 2/28/2021.
Helm Bronco page
So maybe the owner's manual will be available to order in the next couple days and perhaps also posted on Ford's site? :geek:

That is so yahoos don't kill themselves or someone else through mis-use. The reality though is that if you are under throttle, the locker will most likely stay engaged until you back off. Gearing under load just doesn't like to change position no matter what the computer says.

How do you get the paddle shifters with the automatic transmission listed in the pdf file?
That is referring to the toggle switch that is on the side of the auto shifter knob.

I bumped on their use of the word “paddle” as well, but they kind of clarify in the following sentence.
