I saw a drop in my mpg as well. I suspected the fuel blend but after a tank of E0 it was the same. I assume now it is just the parasitic drag exacerbated by the colder temps.
I did a switch and disconnect because my jumper cables are set up with the connector already so they just plug in. I leave the connector hooked up for daily driving but flip the switch off. Just a preference I guess.
I did the belt and suspenders method on mine, switch and disconnect. The bonus is my jumper cables hook into the quick disconnect. Flaming River makes good switches.
In my opinion tire size just changes some of the terrain you drive on. You can take out a stock truck on 30" tires and find trails that are appropriate, fun and challenging. But there is a draw for some to drive over consistently larger objects that requires bigger tires. And to a point larger...
I received mine a month or 2 back. Should be a fun kit. Just waiting on to finish a few projects in front of it. I am looking forward to the build since I dont often have the 1:1 reference in the driveway.
Another vote for Gaia over Onx. I have used Gaia for a lttle over 6 years. It works flawlessly on my 12" via Android Auto. I tried Onx mainly because of all the marketing, it was worthless. The website is ok but that is about it.
What are all of your preferred winch wiring methods? Anderson connector? Switch? Both? Neither?
This is how I had my Land Rover wired so I duplicated it for the Bronco. I have jump leads that connect to the battery break away and I always like having a way to isolate any add on accessories from...
Download the bronco trail ap, it not great but does have a few easy trails off the highway over Blewit. The loop by Liberty is a nice drive and easily done by a Bronco.
Missed opportunity by Toyota. They could have joined the Jeep Bronco crowd with a real off-roader especially since they lean on the FJ40 heritage. This looks to be just another big dollar station wagon.
Funny you posted this. My 2.7 was idling in park while I was winding the winch rope in and I swear it had a faint knock to it. This weekend was the first I had noticed it and I only have 2k on the clock.
I wanted to love the beads and I gave them a very fair effort. Weeks of back and forth with the manufacturer. In the end I paid a tire shop to break the tires down and remove all of the beads. ZERO problems with lead.
