Today's the day I need to decide between a BB 2dr, stick, led lights, tan interior, or a BB 2dr, auto, 2.7, mid package, led lights. Both with locking rear.
I originally reserved a BD, but as it will be mostly a DD, the BD seems overkill, and as frivolous as it sounds, I really like the LED headlamps. The BD has the bigger tires, but I plan on putting 33" Toyo's on the BB anyway. I bought a new Wrangler in 94. I really miss a truck just being a truck. The simplicity. I bought another Wrangler in 02. It was still rather simple. I miss having a stick, but the auto with larger engine may be a decent compromise. Not sure if the mid package is that important besides the fact that I also have two teens that will need to jump in the back from time to time (I know, I know, but I just don't like the look of the 4 door at all. I had a 96 Bronco, and the 2 door is just iconic in IMO).

If anyone can provide a nudge it would be appreciated LOL

Get the auto. Buy the vehicle that you'll need for years down the road, not the one that you want for now.

I wanted a stick when I bought my 2001 corvette. Now 20 years later, I'm glad I bought the auto.

Ask @EvlNvrDys about his experience with attempting to get the locking rear on a BB as a singular option. :alien:

I really wanted my Bronco with MT. It’s been 30 years since I wrecked my ‘87 T-Bird Turbo Coupe. But I also have had hip surgery and while I know I can shift having recently driven a 10 speed Tractor but I’m not getting any younger. So unless you are planning to teach your teenagers how to drive a MT I would go with Auto.

I decided to go the easy route and just went with Squatch!! 😁 Though to be honest, the locker would've been corrected, but I just couldn't do those tiny tires and ugly ass wheels on the BB 🤮 Wasn't willing to deal with the hassle of waiting to see what aftermarket wheels would be available and having to swap it all out.

For the OP though, I'd say go 4 door BB (for ease of access to back seats), Auto + V6 is my choice, but the 2.3l could turn 33's if he wanted. I say gray interior and black exterior. Definitely don't do Race Red + Tan Interior 🤮 that's just hideous 😁

I 'm going with the Cactus. The sasquatch with 35"'s look great, but for me, as a DD, it's just overkill. I could only manage the expense of buying new tires every 8 months... and the noise. I agree, the tires on the BB are sad, but I will upgrade to 33" Toyo ATIII's ASAP.

To be honest, Squatch for me is overkill as well. It'll be a DD for me, putting about 375 miles/week. I doubt it will see any off road action, unless I start to feel a little froggy while looking off into a muddy field. But I'm building mine for looks. I don't see those Goodyear tires being all that noisy. Nor would I expect BFG A/T's to be bad either. I've run BFG M/T's in the past, and if not rotated regularly, they can get noisy. So I'm not too worried about that. But I do recall, I used to get 30k+ out of my BFG M/T's back in the day. And price wise, you could spend close to a 35" tire as you would on a 285.

So in my case, I'm getting what I want. Not what I think I'd use. If that were the case, a Base with little tires would do what I need it to do.

I'm envious. The truck looks so much better in larger tires. No contest. Part of me just wants to get what I like, but regrettably, as I am still happily married with birds still in the nest, I am still forced to compromise ;). Some day!

Well sir, you will get the BB manual with the 2.3L in your driveway before the 2.7L/Auto. No constraints on the 2.3L don't ya know. So, there's that. It's a tough choice I know. Good luck.

Is that confirmed? My dealer has not divulged anything as far as what vehicles are being delivered first. Very vague... late summer/early fall is all that I am hearing at the moment.

That's a very nice trim, but unfortunately I will not be doing anywhere near the off-roading that model deserves
Lol I know, I just wanted to make sure you got the Bronco6G treatment.

If you want simplicity, then you go with an auto 2.7
