Gents, I am not a reservation holder, and am looking to order a Base 2 door, manual transmission Sasquatch (once available). They have not given a timeline other than MY22... would you guys recommend I make a reservation now regardless? Or should I speak with a dealer? Can I make a reservation and wait to convert the order once the mansquatch can be ordered? Thanks gents.

If you are interested in purchasing your bronco as early as possible, I would get a reservation now. When your dealer reaches out to you, tell them you would like to hold out for a MY22.

That will get you a place in line now, and when the MY22 order banks open you can place your order.

As it is now, you can't get any Bronco without a reservation, so get going on it. As far as when the man squatch actually comes to fruition, that remains to be seen.
Get that reservation now though, you've got to pay to play.

This is exactly what I'd do. Then keep communication open with your dealer, if something happens you might be able to jump into one that someone couldn't take delivery of at time of sale. It might cost you (depending on dealer), but it'll give you options.

If I were you, I would avoid a dealer at this point - though you will have to specify one - and make a refundable reservation. Unless you a near enough to Stephens or Granger. In which case specify one when you reserve.

Hello all. I am new to posting on the forum but I have been lurking for a long time.

I also plan to order a base with sasquatch and the manual transmission. I already have a reservation but I don't understand if I can actually convert it to an order now or not. From what I have read, it almost sounds like I will not be able to place an order at all right now. Is that correct?
I have my reservation at Granger and I tried to ask them this same question. The response I received was to wait my turn in line and they will call me and then answer my question. However, I guess there is no point in them calling me if I can't order right now anyway. Very confusing.

I'm not familiar with new vehicles. But you said avoid a dealer? How do you do that when ordering a new vehicle?

They have a ton of reservations and you are asking for a 2022 model. You can't convert your reservation to a 2021 order for something not available until 2022. From my understanding, you will either have an official option to defer to MY22 or you will just tell Granger--when they call you--that you wish to defer and they make some note and your reservation timestamp holds your place in line when it comes time to convert it to a MY22 order.

I'm not familiar with new vehicles. But you said avoid a dealer? How do you do that when ordering a new vehicle?
Avoid going in and talking to a dealer. You want a 2022 and there's no reason to bother with them now.

My primary point is two fold:
1) look around on here for dealers offering discounts and pick one (contact them if you like) Granger, Stephens, Horsham, there are others in different parts of the country.
2) make your reservation directly through the Ford website (you will have to select a dealer when you do)

This way you control the reservation up until the time you convert the reservation and place an order through the dealer instead of the other way around.
