I have considered it myself as an alternative a 4door. The thing to remember is that that chassis is tough enough for awd rallying and can support a 350 hp 2.3. So there is room to go for the sport. Honestly I could see a Raptor type sport down the road. Atleast as an aftermarket build. Custom long A arms all around and the HiPo 2.3. Its jnterior and cargo are probably better for a active lifestyle anyway. My hope is for something wild to come out of the Maverick pickup although that would maybe be more akin to a lightning. Drop it a touch and get the 350 or more hp 2.3 in it. Lots of possibilities with the platform. I even think Bronco Sport suspension on a Transit Connect would be sweet!

Congrats!!! The Badlands Sport definitely qualifies as a Bronco. The 3-Cylinder versions (ehhhh up for debate).

Smaller rigs are usually more fun to drive. I’m getting a 2-Door Bronco for that reason.

It's silly but the only thing keeping me from considering the Sport is the Sync system. Why would you launch a new car with the old system?

If I buy a new car I want the latest features including Sync4.

What's the differences? I watched a vid on the 3 and it looked good.

Faster, supports bigger screens, better Nav, supports wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, more likely to get updates since it isn't end-of-life software.

I had my build all ready to go for ordering, 2-door Badlands, sasquatch, high package....the works. $55.5k out the door. After a thousand questions since submitting my reservation on July 14th and almost as many rebuilds and brand comparisons I asked myself one final and simple question --- Please put your ego in your back pocket for 5 minutes and ask yourself what would be the best 4-wheeler to fit your REAL needs. After a few minutes of thought, and a few tears I must admit, I blurted out "Bronco Sport"!

And there you have it...I have done the unthinkable. Yesterday I marched into my local Ford dealer and ordered a Bronco Sport Badlands (no way I wasn't getting a Badlands!). Fully loaded, $40.1K out the door! (Dealer gave me a $750 discount --- maybe he felt sorry for me).

Funny thing is, I have never felt better about my Bronco choice. I know there are a lot of way more important things going on, but in the little Bronco universe that I have been swirling in of late, it felt like a weight had lifted from my shoulders. Black and white turned to color. I swear I saw a Munchkin yesterday hopping over my backyard fence.

Anyway, I put this out there to help any others that may know what the right choice should be, but think they are alone.

It is still a Bronco, after all.
You are not alone. ;)

The Sport is a Bronco. The Cherokee is a Jeep. I have a Wrangler Rubicon. We all make choices in life.

The Rebelle Rally win generated some credibility. If Ford puts it out there again and wins a few more events, the street will notice. It's not a bad little rig.

You have to do what is best for you. No one should judge. The Bronco Sport would be a great replacement for my Escape. Then I found out the shift lever was a round knob. I’m in a fortunate position at this stage in my life as my kids inheritance is buying this for me so no doors, no roof and a manual transmission won the coin toss. Sorry kids!
