I was looking through the Ford PDF and saw this:

Ford Bronco Free Remote start in Base model? 1610071487415

Can someone tell me does the Base model in fact have remote start capability using the Ford Pass Connect app and a smart phone? Because they sure make it look like it does.....

However, on the Sync3 system, you have to disable Android Auto if you want to use Ford Pass (I think Ford Pass is compatible with Apple Car Play). Hopefully this gets fixed on the new Sync4 system.

So why would I pay 8k more for a model with a remote to start? Just 'askin....
It all depends on if the other features and options are worth it to you or not. You are getting a bunch more than remote start for that upcharge.

Thanks good to know but I'm getting the base model. For me, the extra $$ is not worth it, and I can't get what I really want: Better stereo, tow hitch. Aftermarket, and/or Ford accessories will take care of this for me for a fraction of the cost. Same with leather wrapped steering wheel. Bet that's a Ford aftermarket upgrade too. Hope this Ford Connect is what its supposed to be!

As long as you have cell/wifi service it works good. I have the remote start on my Ranger and use both to start mine. If we're in a restaurant and to far from my truck I use the app. You can also lock and unlock from the app too.

Eventually they’ll stop supporting the app and you won’t be able to use the features anymore.
Doubt it. Originally when the Ranger came out it was only going to be free for 2 years then after 6 or 7 months they changed it and it's now free for life.

The app is a PITA. It's a hassel to open it and have it do what you want. remote start via the fob is instant and right there in your hand. plus isn't it included in a package with a few other goodies?

Not on the base model you have to use the app. Funny because I've never had any issues with my app (IOS) where I've seen so many complain about theirs.

I wouldn’t say a bunch more. Let’s break it down:
Leather wrapped steering wheel that you have to replace anyway because it isn’t heated like it should be.........................$65
Tinted windows........................................... $300
Heated seats .............................................. $300
Proximity door locks................................. $400
Automatic start on the fob..................$300
Back up camera with a line in the middle
(No Upgrade really, Ford just makes it that way cause F*#$ you, that’s why).....$0
Automatic climate control that is going to quit working after 3 years that you have to constantly adjust anyway....................$0
A less cool grill........................................$?
Total ...................................................................$1365.00
So $6635.00 for wheels that aren’t horrible but not that great and tires that pretty much need to be replaced right away anyway.

If it is the pdf I was looking at it says Badlands MGV is optional not standard. And like my other post Ford probably put the same amount of effort in that pdf as they did the first BnP.

Yep and I'm getting just about every other option including the Sasquatch money better spent IMO than seeing my shoes glow blue inside the car. I went thru this with our Titanium Escape...ooohh, ahhh,...yeah and now I wish it had the bigger motor (actauly the top motor which we have is the 2.0, not bad at all)and the 1st Gen Sync is a POS I have to fight with all the time when it keeps telling me my phone IS NOT connected. The stereo is good though, and so is the AWD, the leather is annoyingly sweaty and the bottom cushions are made for 14 year old girl butts not men with a 38 inch waist. I hope the Bronco seats are a little longer and wider.
