There are 50 pages here so I apologize if it's been asked and answered. But where does the picture that heads this thread come from? Exactly what model offers that interior? Appears to be leather or vinyl. OBX would have blue in that seat without those lines. Any idea?

You mean like this 2020 F150 that includes a 10 speed auto for $995?

That's also the base motor for F150, so only the transmission is an upgrade. A bit apples to oranges there.

Bronco base build is 2.3, MT. Upgrading either (or both as they are linked for early '21 MY) incurs charges.

Looks to me like Ford found an opportunity with high demand to raise their prices. Always taking care of the customer. I also see KY was added as an option.

I am a potential first time Ford customer. What I have learned so far is that a corporation with 2019 annual revenues of $155.9 Billion cannot consistently communicate with their final clients (us) despite having brand managers, customer experience managers, and a team of people assigned to the Bronco launch, and cannot build a functional, accurate Website with correct pricing. Yes, COVID has affected the manufacturing portion of the Bronco, but COVID has not, and should not affect the other points referenced in my post.

What have we learned after 49 pages?

So the Shadow Black painted modular roof option is $1895.
The vehicle colored painted modular roof option with soft top, (two roof option), is $1795?
What if you order a Shadow Black vehicle. Which I plan to do. Outer Banks four-door.
So to get the matching roof I pay an extra $100 and get only one roof.
That sounds fair... hmm
Am I reading this correctly?
I'm confused on that also. In the $1795 pics, the hardtop looks like it may be the MIC and the $1895 is the Shadow Black painted top.

Any hot takes on the 4DR Base price going from $33200 to $34795? Guess that one had a $9.00 tag too...
My guess is that's a $9.00 item that is missing the . and is showing $900. In other words, I think they screwed that one up. All of the other models show ~$2,500 for the 4-door upgrade. I'd be willing to make the same bet I made about the transmission that this will be fixed and reduced at actual order time (and hopefully on B&P before then).

I do, because managing the production of an automobile under the environment of a global pandemic has more priority than fixing a draft B&P function for the vehicle that's not yet available for retail sale. Ford said it was a draft B&P for the Bronco and said an official update will be issued in January to coincide with ordering.

I wasn't using a diversion tactic, I'm trying to get you to manage your expectations. You can't yet place an order for your Bronco, so why are you so upset that the B&P isn't correct, or has changed from an earlier draft? Just fucking relax and let it play out. Ford can adjust its pricing at anytime it wants. The only time the sales price is locked is when you have an artifact with your signature and the dealer's representative signature. So until that time comes, getting one's panties in a wad over the pricing in the B&P tool is wasted energy.

How silly of us to expect professionalism from a 100 year old company that sits on the Fortune 500 list, has made this its business, and is known as one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world.

Well, not to split hairs, it was never "free" ... it was included as it was already confirmed subsequent to B&P becoming available. Some people are being disingenuous by representing that it was in error when in fact it was to be included. My take is even $1,600 is higher than other vehicles in Ford lineups for a similar setup so this is really just another middle finger to potential customers.

Yep. Unfortunately, I've reached my limit with all of this. It's an awesome ride, but they weren't anywhere near ready to launch this bad boy. It's really a shame and inexcusable that they were surprised by the demand and caught flat footed while bringing back a legendary product. I know there will be many who continue springing to defend Ford with the usual lines (e.g. "They're listening," "Kudos to Ford for getting it right," "COVID COVID COVID, etc." The reality is that it's a joke of a "launch" and they've demonstrated that repeatedly (Stay tuned more to come. LOL).

For me, it has nothing to do with price (Fortunately I've saved enough to pay cash for the BL I reserved) or this issue ( I was always going Manual/Non-Squatch), but would've loved the V6. It's principle at this point and I want to feel good about my purchase. I've wanted one of these since my Dad had one when I was a kid, but not bad enough to buy one from these guys at this particular time. Maybe in the future.

It almost seems that they are so impressed with the enthusiasm, passion and commitment of die hards coupled with the high reservation rate, that they've lost the desire to get it right.

Good luck to all of you. I can't wait to see you on the trails and sincerely hope to see these Broncos shine. Early August reservation for those who are wondering how my cancellation affects you. LOL
Genuinely good luck to you as well! (honestly, not being a sarcastic ass this time)

As a small business owner i'm impacted by Covid every day in ways never guessed when it started. It's not a joke for me or my industry. Relying on hundreds of vendors around the world is the reason the Bronco isn't a $70,000 car at minimum. Now comes the only risk of just-in-time-production. When things aren't on time, you don't make your product.

Ironically, i'm also interested in a 2.3/MT/non-squatch, but the roof will set me back a few months.

I'm not saying it wasn't stupid. I'm just saying it was pretty obvious it wasn't correct. As someone who has shopped and owned other Ford vehicles, I tried to explain this. I also recommended that people getting the 2.7 in BL plan to add $1,595 to their build cost. If I was wrong, they'd be happy the actual cost was lower. But I've never seen a "buy an engine upgrade, get a transmission for free" in any vehicle. Neither have I seen an engine upgrade and transmission combo go for that low. But the real obvious point was that Ford sells that 10-speed auto upgrade for $1,595 on other models, so why would the same transmission upgrade be free on a Bronco?

You see a row of TV's, all priced in the hundreds and thousands, and there's one for $9, you know it ain't right. Even if the price says $9 for two months.
What if you ask one of the salesmen in the store and they confirm thats that price and that its just a good value (like Ford did with us).

I'd always just included the $1595 on my spreadsheet suspecting they'd fix it eventually.
Wait--you mean you acted with common sense? :D

So, the downside to your plan is that instead of being mad that you didn't get a $1,600 item for free is that if you were wrong and it actually was free, then you'd have to live with paying less than you expected.

They also updated the starting price on the Bronco webpage. Putting my snark aside, I get what you are saying. I don’t think that Ford has put the necessary resources in place to have this launch work out. I don’t think the consumer should have to look at pricing differences in other Ford models and make the connection that something isn’t right. It took me maybe 5 minutes to find a glaring flaw in the build and price. Something a little more nuanced in option compatibility I could understand, but transmission price being left out? Come on! And slipping the change under cover of night? That’s where the integrity falls through.
