I was all on board with the Bronco to start and their pricing strategy rubbed me the wrong way (just how it works these days with burying certain options behind $6k of stuff I don't want). I've looked at everything from the new Defender to a Cayenne, and other vehicles not in this segment (I...
I didn't read the entire thread, but just out of curiosity, why was it parked on the street. Granted, I have my POS E46 from 2002 on the street, but am reluctant to park out there. People suck for sure.
Bummer, live like 2 miles away and didn't know about it. They were "not friendly" when I went last year to ask about the Bronco though. I would have liked to have seen them, but I pushed my original day-1 request to MY22 anyhow, if I stick with it.
I'm now considering the Sorrento myself. Fully loaded vs. Black Diamond. Two completely different vehicles, but with how Ford is rolling out the Bronco, I've almost jumped ship due to not getting certain options even offered in the BD but still paying a premium price.
Thanks for the update. I honestly was thinking the baseline vehicle price was closer to 6%. Clearly that was something I made up / wishful thinking (maybe I confused it with the accessories). Interesting to see the Base only 1.5% vs. 3.5% for the FE (not unexpected though).
While I'm mostly sure Ford will follow through, I can't really trust anything out of their marketing cake-holes. Most of what I was hoping for in pricing / options / builds either was back-pedaled on or outright unknown as orders open up. Not that it matters, I'm still deciding on MY21/22 or...
I've been wondering a lot about this accessory. I can't seem to find that NYC post with that picture, but it has the hero switches of a Big Bend w/o options. Usually, that is seen on only Badlands and higher.
I've been trying to find / request pictures of the dash of lower end trims (Black...
They're wrong (edit: and you're correct). The way the Ford documentation explains is that if your order goes in 1/20 or 3/19, the order will get scheduled the "same" (e.g. based on reservation date, options, model, etc. - all Ford determined, basically).
Edit: I put those dates as those are...
Too bad my salary hasn't really gone up in a decade (in fact, it's actually gone down by 15% since 5 years ago). I know that's on me - but I'm sure I'm not unique. At least I'm employed, for now. I just think it's disingenuous to cite an article as a stand alone perspective, is all.
I couldn't make it past seven minutes of this hot garbage. Simple fact is they backpedaled on the already inflated pricing as a cash grab knowing cancellations would not overtake in losses those willing to put up with their BS.
