So this search started when I bought a used painted OEM MOD roof to replace my OEM MIC roof on my 2024 (March delivery). After I installed the new roof, I noticed that the forward lower corner of the rear roof section (that is immediately rear of the c pillar) had a little flex to it. Fast-forward a lot of investigation, and it appears Ford started putting a new trim piece behind that roof section probably in late 2024 or starting in 2025. And maybe on some other earlier trims.
Part names and numbers:
2021 - 2026 FORD BRONCO 4 DOOR LEFT C PILLAR MOLDING COVER OEM
M2DB S254A43 CBW (note: this may be Ford engineering part number)

In any event, I visited two dealerships and that new trim piece is on every single new ā26 (I counted 26), on both MOD and MIC tops. The new trim piece has a vertical rubber seal that looks like it will effectively reduce wind from creating noise in that little area. There is another seal attached to the roof a little further back that looks like it would block out water, so I donāt think the new trim piece was designed to prevent preventing leaks. I just today took off the roof and installed those trim pieces. They fit perfectly without any modification.
My quick drive indicates a subjective reduction in roof noise, but Iāll have to test more. Iāll bet Ford came up with this in ongoing efforts to make the cabin quieter, and certainly anyone with that doesnāt have this may want to look into it. Here are the pictures. First two pictures are of the trim pieces and the part numbers.
Next is a picture of where the trim piece goes before I attached it.
Next is a picture after I attached it. Very easy you just unscrew the three bolts, put the trim piece on, and screw those bolts back in. You can see it adds a vertical rubber gasket on the forward side, that basically seals up the gap between the roof and the underlying body trim.
