Has anyone used this front pivot Gusset?

I bash the undercarriage of my Bronco; there is no doubt about it. My front pivots are bent is the only way I can say it. I was on Barnes site trolling for some rear control arms and spotted these. I will probably buy and try. Has anyone used them?

I ran something similar on my Tacoma and it was a huge upgrade over the factory mounts and alignment tabs.

Note that there's no "trying" with these -- they get welded in place.

Barnes makes excellent products and you won't be disappointed, especially for that price.

I’ve used two sets. I actually have a third set I ended up not using as getting the CV plunge correct was critical and as a result, the adjustment for the LCA is fixed on the long travel rig.

They fit well and line up nicely with the LCA pockets, while still enabling the use of the alignment pins. The hardest part of the install is cleaning the welding surface. We took it a step further after the install of the reinforcement tabs and ground down the alignment pins and replaced them with 1” long 1/4” square stock.

I used Barnes stuff for years, My 96 has a f350 front and rear. I have the double ram brace with full truss on the front 60, I used them for all my triangulated suspension, I also have their skids for the control arms on the 23. I know it is weld on and that it is one and done so the try was poor wording. Glad you had good experience with it, I would have ordered tonight but the shipping was a bit high, going to look on their ebay page for it.

I bit the bullet, I shipped 1 pound today to FL and it cost $13 so it is about right

I have them on mine. Welded the perimeter and Barnes has the slots in the middle for plug welding so did that as well. The pass side, forward rear ear was actually pretty bent from something I hit and that was a pain in the ass to fix before welding these on.

Make sure if you take it to an alignment shop they know they gotta crank down the LCA bolts as the ears no longer bend in as easy.

Shipping was cheap but I'm local in NC.

Cool, I'm glad to hear they do the job well. I will have a lot of straightening to get them on!

For cleaning pre-weld, I had to use a pneumatic rotary tool with conical flapper wheel thing. that worked the best. it is a bitch to knock off the paint on the upper parts.

Can confirm. Well…at least that’s what wifey said. I was acting busy doing…something else that isn’t weld prep.
