I've been doing a ton of reading on tire options and I'm pretty much sold on the KO3 tires but I keep finding balancing horror stories which is making me hesitant to go through with the purchase. I'm looking at 37/12.50/17 C rated ones, specifically the KO3 due to their slim weight.

I'm just curious what some of the members experience is regarding difficult or poor balancing vs no issues balancing?

I'm on my third set with an average lifespan of 70,000, mi. I rotate my tires every 10,000 mi and I've never had any balance problems. I use discount tire

Depends on the Discount Tire. We have two in town. One get's it right every time the other one never did. Obviously I haven't given them a chance to mess up in several years.

Put K03s on the LJ, 35x12.5x15" C rated, no issues! Ran the OR BDR, still balanced. My local Discount can't balance tires, found one farther north of me that is great.

It's like anything else in today's world no matter what you want to do, good help is hard to find, research for a good shop,I had no problems with my KO3 37 they ride super nice, don't put over 35 psi on the pavement .

You're on your third set of KO3's or KO2's?

I'm really apprehensive to buy BFG's anymore...I had them on my 1985 4-Runner and 2008 Rubicon and four different dealers and two tire places and could never get the shimmy out. I also when in the right lane on a street and hit a two inch puddle it would pull the steering wheel so hard I learned to avoid any puddles...especially when I was next to another car, but they looked Great!!! The original Good years on my 2023 Badlands Sasquatch have 40,000 and will get at least another 10,000 out of them. I never liked Good Year but after having these I'm buying them again.

That shimmy/vibration is what I often find as a top and consistent complaint despite multiple balance attempts including road force balancing. I saw some KO3 in person and I liked the look of it but the reported inconsistency with BFG quality makes me think maybe not; but their incredible light weight for a 37" tire keeps me going back to them lol.

Otoh the Baja Boss A/T have fantastic reviews but that's a hefty tire at 80-82lbs...

Nope, have a set on my PU and a set on my Bronco. Zero issues, but anything man made can have a problem. Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Replaced the Goodyear M/T on my 2021 with KO2s. Discount Tire could not get them balanced. After going back to them 6 to 7 times in 2 weeks, went to an independent shop close by. They got them balanced better, but the shimmy wouldn't go away. The second place I went said that BFGs, especially KO2s, we're known to not balance well and he would typically order 8 tires hoping to get 4 good ones that would balance out.
Have the Nitto G3s now and they are great!

I have F rated 37" KO3s on my bronco and 3/4 ton. Balanced great first try on the bronco, took 2 attempts on my truck.

The discount tire closest to me is a good one.
