The original first generation Bronco is a part of the heritage of every Bronco that came after, including the 4-doors. That’s objectively true and should be obvious. Just like 4-door Jeep Wranglers and Toyota 4-Runners have first generation 2-doors in their heritage, so do 4-door Broncos.

So what makes a Heritage Edition Bronco? What’s the only real difference between a 2-door or 4-door HE and any other 2-door or 4-door with the same specs and equipment?

That easy. It’s the color scheme. The Heritage editions feature a color scheme that is an homage to the first generation which they are all descended from.

That’s the “heritage” part of the Heritage Edition. That’s all it is. Not the number of doors, certainly not the turbos, GOAT modes, electronic lockers, touch screens, wifi, etc. It is simply a color scheme that pays tribute to the Broncos that came first.
And Ford DID make a 4 door vehicle back in the day - and every 4 door Bronco sold today is a decendent of those originals...

My original post was a compliment to the OP and a simple statement that everyone was free to ignore. The comment was "relevant" because the thread is about a Heritage Edition.

The actual "hijack" was by posters who are defending heritage where there is none. And your own post added to the hijack you are complaining about.
And that is the true heritage all moardoor owners should be looking back on as they sit in their soccer mom vehicles.
There you go again, you ok? Just have to say something negative?

Sorry if the truth hurts.

And your post added what exactly to the thread?
Dude, you’re making us 2DR owners look bad. OP’s got a great build. Proper. I wouldn’t buy a 4DR either, but respect to a nice effort.

It's all good natured ribbing... if ya can't take a little ball busting by your own Bronco tribe, you'll wilt like a little girl when the Heep crowd starts denigrating your IFS and 'they don't call them Bronco trails' hate talk. Yes, the OP'S build would make any soccer mom 'eddie bauer' proud!

🙃🙂🙃

Only the joy of calling it like I see it. And you know, you did compliment him and followed that with HOWEVER, which negates any compliment you paid. I should've minded my own business, but this forum is plagued by people that just have to poke and dig at others and it is frustrating. And now I have also hijacked the thread and will shut my mouth from here on out.

So it's rules for me but not for thee it seems. As I simply called it as I see it as well.

My comment was separate from the compliment and was aimed at Ford rather then the OP's build.

That’s why I have skids and take it on the trail so the soccer moms can separate it from the mall crawler OBX broncos 🤣🤣

Hey all,

I figured now would be a good time to post my build thread as I only have 2 more items I want for the bronco. Which is a Lift and some auxiliary lighting.

April 26, 2025 I traded in my 2 dr base squatch for my brand new 2025 Heritage edition!

I wanted my heritage to be unique and different from all the other HEs on the road. So I installed Morimoto XRGB Headlights, and Morimoto XB Slim taillights. Upgraded from the capable bumper to a take off modular bumper, and added the turn off-road prerunner bar.

June 1st, 2025 I was trying to decide which retro graphics to go with. I was deciding to either go with Ranger stripes or the two tone side panels. Well long story short all the shops I asked said the Ranger stripes are too difficult to apply on the sas flares ☹.

July 16th, 2025
I pulled the trigger on getting the spear removed and replaced with the two tone side panels. And holy smokes I was happy and proud of how good it turned out!!!

September 22, 2025
I wanted to protect the paint and vinyl of the heritage so I got full body and top XPEL PPF. This company I went with also applied a ceramic coat on top of the ppf as part of the package.

October 6, 2025
I replaced the side steps with take off badlands rock rails. Looks so much better and more functional for the trail.
IMG_7071.webp

October 19, 2025
I installed rigid tri pods fog lights. I reused the fog lights button on the inside from the capable bumper fogs for the amber lens pod. And had the other 2 pods wired to Aux 2.

October 30, 2025
Had to have a little fun for Halloween 😆
So I changed the RGB color on the headlights to red and added a skeleton to the bumper.

January 11, 2026
Had an off road shop install the procal tune on my bronco!!! And wow! What a nice upgrade, the transmission is finally very smooth and not constantly shifting into the next gear. And it gained some power over stock. It now pushes 355hp and 433 torque.

Then after I got the bronco back I installed the Midland GMRS Radio above the glove box.

January 28, 2026
Installed the rough country 1 inch spacer leveling kit. And it looks so much better than stock, the rake is at a respectable level and not too much nose down.

Before:

After next to a stock Sasquatch:

February 5th, 2026
Installed the original bucking horse before it was modernized just to add more retro flare to my rig.
IMG_7080.webp

February 19, 2026
The Morimoto headlights were having some issues with the RGB function and I tried to warranty claim them and it didn’t go far. So decided to make the switch to DV8 headlights for better reliability.
IMG_7081.webp

March 5, 2026
I got the remaining skid plates I needed from ASFIR. Lower control arms, fuel tank, transfer case, rear shock skids, and the ASFIR front bash plate since the dealership had a deal on them.
IMG_7083.webp

June 4, 2026
I got my fender flares paint matched to the azure gray and got the metal bronco script that was used on the HEL. Also installed the Motley industries modular bumper lights mount.

Now looking at the Eibach coil lift for the Hoss 2.0. Anyone here have any recommendations on auxiliary lighting?
Tell me, how much work is needed to swap the headlights? Looking to replace the stock light with either the DV8 or similar. I hate removing trim so I'm curious.
