I mentioned this a long time ago in a video and also here somewhere. But it’s been since buried by the internet.

I don’t know where you’re taking your vehicle but those install prices are outrageous. And Accutunes website shows their King Shock package at 4k. Where are you getting 8k from?

$700 for a tire install is highway robbery. Did they serve you a 5 course meal with it?

To answer the question though, no. You can relocate resi, or move the tire out through a spacer or wheel offset. There is no other option
I paid $240 for a local mobile company come to my office and mount and balance.

I have your same king set up. The installer recommended spacers, which is what I went with (and I know you don’t want to do). I understand not wanting to change wheels, so relocating your resi seems the best option. Good luck.

" I am now looking at paying out of pocket for custom-fabricated reservoir mounting brackets to achieve true OEM-wheel compatibility. Currently quoted a minimum of 6 hour ($1,000) plus the cost to re-pressurize the Shocks ($175). This is assuming all goes well including the hoses will reach their new positions."

Okay... this is the part where you lose me..... A bracket for a reservoir mount is a very simple thing. It is nothing more than a small piece of metal that sometimes might have one 90 degree bend in it. very simple to make. Why the hell is it going to take 6 hours to install? I bet I could install all 4 in an hour and a half if I took my time and drank 3 beers while doing it.... (and I am an old man).... I guess 6 hours if they are custom fabing the mounts themselves but damn.

Why would you have to repressurize the shocks??? Seriously. unless you are lengthening the hose lines you should not be depressurizing them. If the hoses do not reach at their given length then they are picking the wrong mounting location...

I am at a loss here, this is not rocket science. I think they are milking you because you do not know any better.

I agree, the shop is milking every cent. But if they have to reclock the hose fittings, you would absolutely need to recharge nitro. But again, it’s super cheap and quick to do that…

I do not see why the fronts would have to be repositioned... they are well out of the way... so it must be the rear only. I can see how those might get into trouble once you have replaced the control arms with hiem joints. You get a little more articulation with those.

It seems like you could just flip the mount and put them lower where they would have more clearance up against the frame. may have to drill a couple holes in the mount.... I do not "know" without playing with them a bit. I should go look at mine when I get home.

Looking again at the pics that may be too low... but you should be able to drop them a couple inches pretty easy and there is plenty of hose length for that and no need for clocking.

This is the company I use in Arizona. I'm sure there is something similar in CA

Hey! That's what I was thinking! And it's only the 2 rear reservoir that need relocated. The front ones are fine. So maybe up that to 4 beers and 45 minutes total ;-) You rig looks sweet btw! Thanks for you support and calibration of my expectations.

Hey, thanks for the insight! I appreciate it and will try out those ideas.

My shop said that would charge me $175 to "re-pressurize the shock because Nitrogen is so expensive".
