Hi and thank you for your help……… 2026 Bronco Raptor….. wanting to put 38 inch tires on the factory Bead lock capable wheels. Not sure about 12.5 or 13.5……So far I have learned is I need to purchase Hyperco 2”/1” Springs. Will i also need wheel spacers? Is there anything else that I need? Thank you very much for your help and advice.

Springs will not allow larger tires as it does not limit compression travel. You could body lift or extend the bump stops. Or possibly fiberglass for additional clearance.

Wider/larger tire will increase stress on steering system and axles.

Is it just for looks? Or performance?

Gotta admit, 98% looks. I really dislike BFG’s and the 38’s definitely give it a more full look for me.

In that case... 40s give the best look. :)

A grinder can take care of the parking lot rubbing.

I hear you and I agree with you to a point. I’ve had 40s on a lot of of my vehicles and I’ve had 38’s on some of them also. I think 40s will be too much for the suspension and frame and I do not believe 38’s will be that much different than the factory 37’s other than a more filling look.

BFG KO3 / KM3 39s look killer on the Raptor Bronco. Great compromise of weight, size and road manners. Plus BFG makes some of the highest quality tires.

In my lifetime I’ve probably had at least 12 sets of BFG‘s……and on two different vehicles I had balancing issues with them and I had to get rid of them…… I see more than a few have balancing issues with the KM 3’s. Still a good idea, thanks.

i have toyo 38s in 11.5 and have done sand hollow 7-9 rated trails. the narrower tire has a larger contact patch and drive great they are 9-10lb over the stock setup which ill gladly take for true 38s. i have hyperco +2 front and rear and 0 offset wheels

Thank you for the info. I’m definitely going with the 38’s.

38" on mine (Not in the photo) I went fiberglass, lift, shocks.

38 vs 37 was purely to be spiteful. But the rest was performance and clear rocks!

Body spacers - knock your socks off

Wheel spacers - do NOT do it. Trust me. Read all of the threads here on wheel spacers, and all the guys that talk about geometry, etc. They know what they are talking about. DONT DO IT!

I used a small body lift to get mine to clear without rubbing anywhere. But mine are the Nitto 38x11.5, not 12.5 or 13.5 - more work may be needed for a wider tire to clear in the front
