I just went through this search, so I’ll tell you what I did.

ASFIR front, transmission and transfer skids. OEM fuel tank skid - 20% off and used my FordPass points. And I picked up the Barnes rear shock mount skids. Just ordered over the weekend so I haven’t installed anything yet. I don’t do any rock crawling so this will suit me fine.

Other options would be Talon Garage or RCI (and trimming the existing plastic front skid for a more finished look with the RCI - if you search you can find some examples). Some folks have used the Ford OEM, but that requires some fabricating for fitment because of the tow loops.

$590 for a $20 piece of ALU with one hrs waterjet and forming labor and $8 in bolts plus packaging - Alibaba is your friend.

In 2026 composites, like skids on plastic bumpers are superior in weight and aero and debris performance to anything except maybe AHSS (when hard core offroading and rock skidding) but no one after market makes that.... Ford OE kit is best bet even better if from recycler

We dont even use alloy or steel skid plates on mountain dirt bikes that see more abuse in 4 hrs than a hardcore Bronco offroader will see in years. Metal just grip the rocks and boulders while composites slide right over and never permanently deform.

Of course, for optics, nothing beats a massive 50lb front skid on plus beefier 130 lb bumper with a 70 lb winch and 60 lb in accessory lights and brackets...thats equivelant to three slim girlfiends in short skirts (weight reduction) riding in the bronco taking them canping with the money saved on damper upgrade to offset accessroy sag haha.

Hey @Mejido , we're here to help!
Our Front skid-plate is available in stock and ready for immidiate shipping. If you're interested here's a link to our entire Bronco product catalog. Our skid-plates are made of 5052 aluminum and connect to the vehicle with galvanized steel brackets (connectors) to OE holes.

If there's anything we can assist you with, you're welcome to reach out here or reach out through our contact us page on our website.

Thanks for the recommendation @Fastmc25 !

How is the space around the tow loops? With the Talons design for the plastic bumper, it looks like it would be tight.

Anyone else have fitment issues with the ASFIR plastic bumper compatible front skid? the bolt holes that go through the 'wings' at the front don't line up with the bolt holes on the intercooler brackets no matter how much i loosen and adjust everything.

I didn't have any alignment issues with the wings.

My issue was due to me installing the front skid plate first instead of working from the back to front.
