I did this back in February, but wanted to test it out first before I shared. I've been on 2 all-day off-roading trips with OnX level 6 trails, and this worked great without rattling.

For those of you with the Unijack, there is a mount that goes with it (I saw it on this Forum).

I wanted to get it off of the ground if possible but needed something sturdy since the jack is heavy. I found out that the bolting locations for the soft top actually work nicely. I also figured if I ever want to remove the mount, I can just put the cover back on and no harm done.

I tried many configurations and decided that a diagonal backing for the mount would work best. It needed to be moved out about 2" since the plate is bigger than the hole. A 2" square post with 1" hole spacing worked. I also needed 1.25 x 90mm M8 Flat head screws and rubber washers (top bolt is sunk back a bit). Putting some electrical tape around the rubber washers kept them together. I also had to cut out a bit off trim to make post fit.

Mount with jack and a bit more support with the Rockworkx straps and bolts.

That is much better then having a jack sliding around the back of your bronco hitting into things.

That looks to be a lot of force on that mounting point. Could easily sheer any part of that.

I mounted a small air tank on the side of the roll bar in my previous Jeep and after a couple of months, one of the legs for the air tank ripped at the bend and the other was already significantly weakened from hanging laterally like your jack. My though here is that your jack is heavier and extends out laterally more than my air tank and likely has similar, but greater forces at work. Maybe add a secondary mount to hold the snout of that jack while it's mounted?

Am hoping the rockworksx straps will help with that. If not, I’ll think of something else and put the cover back on 🙂

I doubt it could be much more weight then the soft top but that's my flawed thinking. That ain't going nowhere!
