I have said this before, SoFlo Customs does a lot of fabrication work. Many of their builds were designed on paper and they mocked and built it up in the shop. They cater to the S.FL customer. Big, Flashy, Over-the -top vehicles that stand out.

There is some solid engineering going on behind the scenes, and some of their builds are very nice. If you order from them, you can get a sensible build with sensible parts. But that is not what those who purchase vehicles from them want.

I have been to their facility with a buddy, I was checking out some steps they had for the BRaptor. It's top-notch, a lot of room, and they have people who know what they are doing working on the team. I would say they are as decent as any other fabricator; it's just you see the over-the-top designs from them because, as I said, that's the market.

Their stuff does seem well made, but of questionable taste. But that’s the market, as you said.

The most hideous part of most of their builds is the wheel&tire choice. Those 5-spoke 22” wheels look ridiculous, but are their signature design, so they put them on everything. Checking their vehicle inventory, every truck seems to have them.

Exactly. From the start Ford should have made it a "tail gate" instead of trying to "copy" the Wrangler with a swing gate. They copied the lines of the first gen Bronc and that was equipped with a ........tail gate.

Kinda like those big ugly rectangular tail lights that look, from a distance, just like a Wranglers tail light. Should have looked like this from the start.

Or maybe the half finished grille??????? should come out of the factory like below.

Like most new vehicles cut corners and ask a premium price.

1. Fender cutouts / profiles,
2 Pick up style tailgate,
3. Guardrail style rear bumper and off set license plate mount..

Having owned both, unless it's a work truck, I much prefer a swing gate. It mostly depends on whether I have to reach or get into the bed to handle cargo.

I use my tailgate all the time in my pickup. I love the outdoors so it is always in use as a table in the middle of God's country. Or a seat. Or a place to set something down so it's not covered in mud. Or to extend the bed to give myself some more cargo space. I guess that is why everyone buys a table for the tailgate of the Bronc. I got an idea make a tail gate on the Bronc and then everyone has a table build in it from the factory. Na that would be too easy. It is easier to copy a Wrangler.............

That roaster concept was cool but Ford missed on a few things IMHO:

1. Bumpers should have been chrome like the wheels, not a flat silver
2. Interior should have been tan, not white and silver

making it similar a modern version of the 1966 Dune Duster

Wouldn't care for a strict tailgate, something like the Ford Magic Doorgate would be ok.
I just use the rear floor as I would a tailgate, don't haul longer things... That's why I have a truck.
